101. DPS graphs: BS vs. BC - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
Edited by: SecHaul on 22/12/2008 02:32:08 Originally by: Goumindong If break even is >10km then there will never be a point to flying anything but blaster ships until you are flying in large fleets. You would have the most DPS, the ...

102. DPS graphs: BS vs. BC - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
Originally by: Goumindong Actually, the note about tri-marks was not about the target, it was about the tank that each BS was fitting. I.E. it was showing equivalence in tank. The two fits have roughly the same EHP at those numbers. The t...

103. DPS graphs: BS vs. BC - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
Originally by: Goumindong Actually, that is the best case scenario for the laser ship against an armor tank. The 2 extra drones make up for a massive increase in DPS over the more efficient Abaddon. Since i fit everything to be based on an...

105. Which 3 of these ships WOULDN'T you take pvping. (If you had to pick) - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Thoroughly stupid topic and poll. If the title was "What ships would you most want in your gang", you may have been more successful. I would much rather fly a Rapier, Arazu, and Pilgrim before getting into Falcon. I want to fly the fun stuff, a...

106. What is the highest dmg BC from 0-80ish km. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Originally by: Dracthera Did you just write that?!? Seriously?!? A CRUISE MISSILE Drake? ROFL! Anyway, back to the OP, with good skills and fittings and implants, you can build up a Drake to generate ~500 DPS out to 70-75km reliably, and ...

107. What Blizzard knows that CCP does not - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
In WOW you can level quickly, so starting a new race, training it, having some fun, and then having it rebalanced isn't a massive loss. You just then move onto the next piece of content. In EVE, if you release something, people need to spend mont...

108. What is the highest dmg BC from 0-80ish km. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
A cruise missile Drake IMO, or a drone wielding BC which should be good from 0-60km. I would not recommend beams / art / rails for a BC in QR, with the current change in game mechanics, losing the ability to hit undersized targets, combined with...

109. What is the highest dmg BC from 0-80ish km. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Difficult question to answer. Optimal + falloff (with T2 ammo) Heavy Pulse II (Scorch): 23 + 5 220mm autocannons (Barrage): 2.7 + 15 Heavy Neutron Blaster (Null): 5.6 + 7.8 Heavy Assault Missiles (Javelins): 30.4 As you can see, no short range ...

112. Why dont tracking comps/enhancers affect falloff? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Originally by: Vaal Erit I dunno, people started saying how a falloff TC would be a mid slot damage mod for autocannon ships, while it is completely balanced for optimal ships even though optimal >>>>>falloff. No clue in how...

113. Why dont tracking comps/enhancers affect falloff? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I personally think the TC's and TE's should impact optimal and falloff, just as TD's impact optimal and falloff. But that is my opinion. From what I recall, 3x gyro has more impact than 2x gyro + 1x TE under 20km odd, and 2x gyro make more sense ...

114. Why dont tracking comps/enhancers affect falloff? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
There was a thread about this when the change was made to TDs. To put it bluntly, people argued that increasing falloff provides too large an advantage to autocannons, however apparently it's completely balanced that lasers get this massive buff t...

117. Fixing of the turret tracking formula - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
I agree with the logic, it makes sense from a realism perspective. But I also agree with Goum, right now I am uncertain the change would be balanced. It would require in entire relook at all turrets and ammo combinations to consider the impact o...
