Edited by: Shanur on 21/01/2009 09:33:51 2. While your personal hangar can not be touched by anyone but yourself, if said hangar is inside a station that is managed by players, they CAN deny you access to said hangar by removing your docking r...

43. Question about scanning systems... - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
For fixed landmarks(stuff that shows up in the right click menu), it had to be the directional scanner, as mentioned above. A skilled combatant can reason out what location someone is at in about 20 seconds or so. No character skills are needed or...

47. How Long to get off Grid? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
An AG that lets battleships in but keeps industrials out? Strange. Anyways, you could try taking a cargo extended Catalyst in instead. High slots isn't the only reason destroyers make for popular salvage ships

48. Eve and Vista? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I am also running Premium fine on Vista. Even with UAC on. I have found however that for pretty much all DirectX games it's best to turn the sidebar completely off. That thing, apart from being a performance hog, can cause some funky things to hap...

49. Why a member can't be expelled from our corp? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
That catalyst seems to be fit Ok(except for the lack of tackling modules). What makes a destroyer with bonus appropriate guns and damage optimized ammo a poor choice against a T1 frigate? Or what did i miss in that ship's fittings that is such a ...

52. turrets vs launchers noob needs help. - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]

53. Must have missile skills? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Target selection is key with PvP. With a Drake, you will want to go for cruisers, and maybe other battlecruisers. Those two ships are ideally sized for your HAM's. Frigates will due to their speed and size ignore the full damage potential of HAMs ...

56. Must have missile skills? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
AFAIK if you want to use it for PvP you are better off fitting HAM's instead of HM's. While HM's have a good alpha strike, they are so slow their DPS is very low. And then there is the "target died before my missiles hit" syndrome of long range mi...

58. anti warp scram - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Another counter worth considering is using EW to break the lock that the scrambler has on you. With the exception of 0.0 sec space all forms of scrambling only work with an active lock. If you break that, you are free.

60. Where Do I Find? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Again, there isn't one. Many of an item's attributes are arbitrarily named and dependent on the context of what kind of item it is. Effective range for a warp scrambler means another thing than for an ECM for example. Most are pretty self explanat...
