Kinda stupid, aren't you? From CCP Zulupark on Jan 19, 2009: "Based on your feedback we are going to commit to making ShaderModel 2 the minimum requirement (graphics wise) in the Apocrypha release, as well as replacing the Classic client with...

4. apocrypha effects - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Originally by: Lork Niffle Ah for 42" screens i would suggest sitting over 6 Feet away, since that is the effective distance that the full HD resolution is best at at that size of screen. If you can't sit any further back i would suggest ...

Originally by: Lork Niffle Really? At Full HD AA is barely necessary assuming you are sitting at the correct distance from the screen.

You're talking about banding, right? Yeah, you'll have to live with it. You're in luck though, CCP did promise to update space backgrounds. I hear this may actually happen within the next 5-10 years. ___

8. FPS Lower suddenly.. did something change? - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Originally by: Lork Niffle And you can't 'need' them when you need them most?, if its going to fall below 60/75/120 its going to anyway. If v-synch is enabled and FPS falls below refresh the framerate is cut by half, and then it's cut ...

9. FPS Lower suddenly.. did something change? - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Originally by: Lork Niffle ...It is considered good practice to keep Vertical sync on for cards in the x7xx range and up for both sides. Since you can't see the frames, generates unneccessary heat, and uses more power. Worried about Glo...

My 8800GTX runs EVE at over 100FPS routinely (at highest settings, AA, and HDR), and I've not had a single problem over the two years that I've had this card. I see that your understanding of a 'reputable source' is also lacking. ___

13. FPS Lower suddenly.. did something change? - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Originally by: Lork Niffle But be warned, turning off v-sync can result in any game a chance of your card overheating if it suddenly decides to run at 200fps. That's only a problem if you've got cheap computer components and sheaty coo...
