I had the same problem once, and then realized that in fact I had mistakenly started some jobs as "personal" jobs rather than corporate jobs and so they wouldn't show up on the "corporate" job tab that I usually focus on--it was a couple of weeks ...

I don't think you can transfer a character from a trial account. Look on the "Transfer Character" section of the account management website--I think it specifies it there.
