Yes, I can confirm this problem exists in the game. Only way for me to get autopilot to work is to keep the map open the whole time.

You didn't waste anything because you were playing the whole time. For christ's sake the game is about playing and having fun not training skills all day. You still should be training faster than those players and pass them because of implants/lea...

I wouldn't care. They would have more skills than me, but like I said...would they know how to use them? Most likely not. I play the game for fun, not so I have a big skillpoint e-peen.

While you were playing the game and training skills, the new kali characters werent doing anything. You didn't lose a **** thing, you didn't waste a month, because if you hit 800k sp the minute kali goes live...you still played the previous month ...

Well, Tier 3 BS are planned on being in the alliance tourney so I would guess before Dec 1. I would hope though, that ccp would not release kali if it was not ready just to get it on TQ for the tourney.
