2. Mining in Low Sec in a Battleship - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Unless you're doing it for the thrill, stick to high-sec or go to 0.0 or wormholes. Low-sec ore can be found in High-sec with Exploration, so if you're after mining low-sec ores, grab an exploration ship and start probing High-sec for grav sites. ...

Extreme Mining? I'd consider mining in low-sec or a wormhole in that Mach of yours to fit that role. Safe 0.0 or high-sec isn't extreme in any way unless you're talking a huge fleet, but you'd be perfectly safe. ------------------------ Low-sec is...

7. Calculating Ice Mining Time - in Science and Industry [original thread]
As far as I know, all the upgrades are applied without stacking penalties, but they are cumulative, not added and then applied. So if you have two 9% bonuses and one 5% bonus and a base value of 600, the formula would be: 600 * 0.9 * 0.9 * 0.95.

8. Worm Holes - in Science and Industry [original thread]
To get an idea of how many trips you can make through a wormhole, get an app that has all the wormhole data available such as Wormhole Thingie. The wormhole itself has an info tab that will tell you when it is nearing collapse, after which you can...

10. Ideal Gas Planet Radius - in Science and Industry [original thread]
I'd recommend avoiding Gas Planets if Storm Planets can provide the same resources. Even if the Gas Planet has multiple high yield spots, they will run out eventually and the huge radius of Gas Planets makes it very difficult to relocate your extr...

12. PI: Silos? - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Generally the only use for a silo is when you need a very long link for some reason and upgrading it a level (or two) will cost more PG than using a silo and a non-upgraded link. From the silo you would only need to transport the needed materials ...

13. planets running out of resourses - in Science and Industry [original thread]
I like the addition of depletion (prevents too easy farming of one hotspot) but the current rate of it is a little much when compared to how new spots are showing up, and I'm talking about low-sec planets with hardly anyone else doing PI on them. ...
