With all skills at V, I don't expect too much difference for normal sites. However I'm going with scan strength on my prober, because it's faster to get a first result in order to sort out non-profession sites early.

Was using my 3 year old Raven Navy with MJD just fine also in the arcs' combat missions. For the Drone AI hunt I recently switched to a HML Tengu, with significant better performance than the Raven, so I will use this one for the next arc runs.

Rule of thumb, with lvl3 capability you should be able to run up to 4/10 DED sites. DED sites are either scanned down with probes from signatures or rewarded as occasional expeditions from completed anomalies.

Plenty in highsec, run about 80 mostly in highsec around Jita, just circling from one end of The Forge to the other. The high population actually helps clearing sites faster, and I'm winning the race to the loot 95% of the time.

You may also consider other reasons than ISK ... good standing with the corps and factions of the four major tradehubs and saving broker fees on sell orders can be worth the less optimal LP conversation ratio.

Svipul, Confessor ... are good picks for lowsec DED sites up to 4/10. The narcotic warehouse and phi outpost in Serpentis space are my favorites. Lowsec also means, less competition (either way ).

Reworking the mission system, basically all scripted content, is a money sink for CCP. Players will get bored soon, when they mastered the new challanges and cry for more ... also making missions more random will kill the holy ISK/h. At the end on...

Well, could have several reasons ... ... did you accidentally shoot a can or structure? ... was the wreck really yours? White color is not a sufficient indicator. Also as mentioned before, PvE in highsec with safety disabled is not the smartest ...

The Epic arcs are usually a mixture of courier and security missions, some have hacking elements. They are longer and usually a bit more difficult than the regular missions of that level, they give good ISK and have some storyline ... but finally ...
