5. Slow on Vista?? - in Windows [original thread]
Tweaking the os won't do jack, one of the thing vista does will (sort of) is game, namely shutting everything else down when you run one full screen to make them faster, at least that's the theory. The reality is games on vista really are smooth...

7800gt here, whats odd for me is strait after trinity they both ran fine by altering the nvidia prefs, then came the first patch and that stopped, only way aa would run was by me altering my global settings (sucked) but it still ran fine under x86...

If you've got teh cache set to extreme 900megs is perfectly normal, should max out at 1020-1040 megs (1 gig), jump through alot of gates or do anything to make eve load from the disk the ram will go up, isn't a bug as the patient gm i spent days a...
