1. Gunnery and Missles - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
I went the opposite direction (6 million SP in gunnery before I even broke 300k SP in missiles), and I do not regret it at all. If you're really determined to be a missile-specialized Caldari mission runner, go for it. There's time enough to train...

2. If I don't train Battleships? - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
The ships you are training for are great. Minmatar/Amarr 'Ceptors, Covert Ops, Recons, Command Ships, and Logistics are all useful. You'll be well liked in gang PvP, for sure. Battleships are the bread and butter of fleet PvP, but if you're only...

4. My T2 drones get exploded in L4 missions - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
Against frigates, stick with the mediums. I personally prefer using mediums against cruiser-sized rats as well. Heavies are generally too slow, but they can rip apart close range battleships relatively quickly. I also like using a Drone Link Augme...

5. My T2 drones get exploded in L4 missions - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
Edited by: cal nereus on 17/06/2008 04:50:13 Well, this is why I usually fit at least one gun on my mission-running Dominix, and I read a description of the mission in Eve Survival's Kill Mission Guides . Depending on how the mission works, ...

Originally by: Aesynil What of other race's ships? If you flew Minmatar, for example, where the only valid ship for t2 heavy drones if the 'phoon, is it worth training for them first, when drone interfacing V helps every other type of dron...

7. Drone Interfacing V vs. Heavy Drones V - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
Edited by: cal nereus on 16/06/2008 22:57:43 I personally got Heavy Drones V first. Tech-2 is leaps and bounds better than tech-1. As for sentry drones, the problem I've encountered with them, and this may be just because I've been using te...

8. Need Attributes Help. - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
Perception is probably the most important attribute for combat pilots. I recommend relatively equal amounts of willpower and intelligence after that. Charisma is the least important for combat pilots (for now). --- Earning Isk Basic Skills

9. Training skills to lvl 5? - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
This is entirely my opinion, grounded primarily in personal experience and hearsay. Please take my words with a grain of salt. If you still don't know what you want to fly in every conceivable PvP situation, then I suppose it's fine to branch ou...

11. Which character for pvp? - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
For many kinds of PvP, Amarr are a solid choice actually. With a lot of sp behind you, an Amarr battleship can dish out a lot of gank with a tough tank to go with it. And then there's the Curse, which I hear is popular. Minmatar seems to be the ...

It is pretty silly as a starter skill, but it can be useful later on, especially against drones. Smart-bombing fleets can be entertaining as well. --- Skills

15. I know why player retention drops drastically after 6 months - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
I personally have been most annoyed by the skills that are too short to train while I'm off-line, but too long to finish during my online times. 'Course, the easy solution to that is just to train it in snippets while I'm online. Really long skill...

18. necessary skills for 0.0 solo-mining - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
As far as I know, the shield compensations don't have any impact when the shield mods are activated. The only time they help is if they aren't active, which I'm pretty sure should never be the case with a Hulk... right?
