2. Why don't lazers use ammo? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I meant battery in that the reactor isn't attached to the storage drum. It wouldn't be efficient to have an antimatter reactor mounted on each drum of antimatter.

Heh, I suppose you wouldn't care if projectiles used metal to fire the gunpowered eh? ;p Or how about a railgun where the ammo fired the magnets!

4. Why don't lazers use ammo? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Originally by: Phaese Don't start ranting about what is and isn't realistic; last time I checked, we didn't have any massive spaceship-sized lasers for you to base anything off of. We don't even have decent rifle-sized lasers, either. (Not...

5. Why don't lazers use ammo? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Lazers dont just hit a target like a projectile. Their damage is caused through heating up a target. To do this it needs to be focused accurately on a spot. This isn't viable for highly long range targets. So this would be the difference in your r...

6. Why don't lazers use ammo? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Using up crystals doen't make sense either. Its a lense. A freaking lense. You dont use up a lense, they just focus light, and they dont focus it so strong in the lense itself to damage the lense, its damage is cause at points in which its focused...

7. Why don't lazers use ammo? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Contrary to CCP's belief, large lazers use way more energy than a projectile. Way more energy. If the game strived to be accurate, then one large lazer blast would drain an appocolypse's capacitor in a single shot. Crystals shmitsals, the damage b...

8. Logistics support, is it worth it? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Where does it say they get good capacitor recharge? I didn't see that anywhere, but I believe you. So 130 armor per second from 4x medium remote armor repairers. Could that do much in a focus firing battleship slugathon? And as for them comming a...

Originally by: 000Hunter000 I can set 4 med T2 remote shieldboosters on someone at 51km indefinitly while running an AB as well, usually the problem is they will go after the logisticsship as soon as it hits the scene. How do you keep ...

11. "Ninja mining" vs. "Can mining" for the "New" player. - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
First of all there is such thing as secure cans. See all the yellow dots at an asteroid belt? Most of those are secure. If you are just mining and dropping them in a can, dont expect ppl not to take it. Thats free money right there. If your Org ...

12. "Ninja mining" vs. "Can mining" for the "New" player. - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
For can mining, get an industrial with expanded cargo. Have instadock bookmarks. Warp to belts looking for yellow cans on the overlay, unlocked cans will show up there. Zoom over, and 15km past the can. Grab as much as you can, and instadock, sell...
