21. PLEX Crash - in Market Discussions [original thread]
Who said it was going to be 300m+? And who said they were going to use PLEX as currency for microtransactions? Quote: The scope will be (and thereæs no design be done around this, weære just talking strategy now) that anything that doesnæt ...

24. station container scam - in Market Discussions [original thread]
Originally by: Kylee Serenity In real life scammers usually get jailed/heads chopped off. In EVE - no punishment whatsoever. Not really, these are all petty scams. One of my really good friends in high school paid $1000 for a car that ...

26. Wholesale - in Market Discussions [original thread]
Try it. Find a product that costs X to make and sells for Y. Put up a million units at price (X+Y)/2. See if anyone bites. My guess is by doing so you'll just drive the price down :)

28. Low Sec/Capital Market Hub - in Market Discussions [original thread]
I just want to jump in here and give another nonchalant bump with an update. I've put up nearly everything I could possibly imagine relating to small ships (Frigates/destroyers) except for the T2 ships themselves. I've got a nice pile of minerals...

31. Low Sec/Capital Market Hub - in Market Discussions [original thread]
No need for policing. Low sec is perfectly safe if you have the basic tools of the trade (and a brain). A single low sec hub will never be as popular as a choke point/bottleneck between major hisec hubs (Cough Amamake cough) so there will never be...

Yes, I have moved out of the trade hubs and am happily selling product in some odd station by myself at a price I dictate for a cause I like. My competition is other stations. My margins are dictated by diversity of goods supplied. I don't make a...

My assumptions above are that you are placing a reasonably large quantity of items on the market. I realize that is a bit vague and grey so I'll just say that by reasonably large quantity of items I actually mean 10 * movement which would take (in...

If you never adjust your price, you aren't selling in a trade hub. If you put a reasonably large quantity of items for sale at a low price you just pushed the price in that hub down for 7/30/90 days. You will get 0.01 isked and everyone loses out....

They are operating under the illusion that 'If I undercut by a large margin they won't undercut me because it's not worth the loss of profits.' That works if you put up 5 items on a market that moves 100/day. But if you put 500 on a market that mo...
