Also, dragging items from a container (that is in your cargo) to the Mobile Depot's cargo does not work. However, dragging from Depot to container does work. =P Also bug reported.

With the new sisi patch, right clicking a mobile depot in your cargo and selecting 'Deploy for Self' no longer deploys the depot. The workaround is to drag and drop the depot from cargo to a point in space. I have filed a bug report. /psa
