Then how about a free respec for every 6 months in-game for the old timers, ie been playing Eve for 4 years = 8 FREE respecs. This would bring the all important balance and fairness, both words hardly used together in this game

Even as an old timer I welcome this new feature. Stuff thats good for noobs is good for EvE and if something is good for EvE it is good for everyone playing EvE.
At this point I don't really need respecing... but I'll be using it for some minor tweaking, adjusting my memory to finish all the drone skills for example. New players will be able to take it to extremes when doing int/mem skills vs perc/will ones... oh my, I wish I was a noob again :D

Attribute respec is a terrible idea, but that said, making it a paid feature is even worse.
I'm actually amazed you found a way to accomplish that.
The reason it's so bad is because you're essentially getting an ingame advantage that's better than the best implants can provide, for real life money. Unlike existing paid features (portraits, char transfers), this one has a direct impact on gameplay.

I like the repeccing feature, as i was a dumb noob who didn't balance out this character.
But this paid idea really has no need, and to be honest, this argument about repeccing is starting to become just another dead horse in a line of them...
