Ever since i started playing EVE i had an idea on my mind...an idea of writing a story of a minmatar man with clear white eyes, possibly blind...who would fight to free the minmatar from the amarrians and sometime in the story would come in contact with the jovians who would take him to his ship and just as everyone thinks he is dead he would misteriously return...changed...
Now the story is still in it's early ages i haven't started writing it....but it's funny now...the story was evolving in my mind for 3-4 months...and today well...
...today i was browsing the eve forum when i suddenly saw on the left side a picture of a blind brutot....it reminded me of my story so clicked on it...
this is what i found : Maleatu Shakor
I was like...stunned...this similarity to what i've been thinking of for the past few months is simply out of this world....it's just so confusing and i don't know...
What do you think?

you read it a long time ago, forgot about it, thought you came up with it yourself
Happens all the time and i think it's where most music-"thefts" come from
Mind can play brutal tricks on you :>

It's quite possible you did read this a long time ago... as far as I know, the story on Shakor has been up as long as I have been playing (since '07) and maybe even beyond that. ----------------------------------------------
Say "Amarr ships suk, lol." I dare you.

CCP read your mind and stole the idea before you could do anything about it.

The second poster seems to be on it. Maybe you have read the 'Emyprean Age' novel? Maleatu is also heavily mentioned in there, and the disease that causes the eyes to go that way.

nah i haven't...maybe i did read it so long ago that i don't remember...
...maybe it's just possible that two people have the same idea for a story...
My character was suposed to be a minmatar hero...son of a freed slave and his mother was the daughter of that slaves master...i figured out the names and everything... ...the mother dies at childbirth and the father runs with his family and the child to a planet far away...yet the slave holder being on a high position chases them and eventually many years from than finds them kills the father and enslaves the rest on that planet, giving him great reputation back home....
..My hero, crushed of grief and searching for revenge takes an oath of revenge and that he shall give his last breath to destroy amarr and free all of his brothers...After that he runs way to safety, eventually forms a freedom fighters group with him as leader, he returns to amarr and begins his revenge...
...events follow, and somewhere close to the end of the story, lead by certain events, he desperate and crushed in grief again acts unreasonably and falls almost in a trap, but when he arrives at the point where he was supposed to meet the amarr for negotiations he finds an amarr armada, crushed and in ruin...wrecked, destroyed...but than he sees a huge ship....the jovians...they call him to come to their ship, he goes and he stays there for few days...his fleet awaits him that long...suddenly a pod launches from the jove ship and they warp away...the pod comes to the fleet and the hero comes back to his ship...everyone is happy but he seems different..his war tatoos are somehow different, and everyone aboard the ship feels strange in his presence...
..he than breaks into the imperial court or something (i haven't worked out this part quite well yet) and comes face to face to a high officer of amarr (maybe even the empress herself) than revealing his new self...his eyes turn white and sort of glowing and he takes his robes of showing his body and the new tatoos glowing and saying something about what jove did to him and persuades everyone to do as he tells...i haven't worked out this part quite well)...
...so i wouldn't know...is this any similiar to the story of that Maleatu Shakor? Should i complete the story' What should i do?

I have this a lot. And not just with EVE. Sometimes I wonder if the collective consciousness has a strong effect on me or the other way around, or both. Just days ago, I thought about how nice it would be if they made a new movie intro for the client, the same day I went to SiSi, and there it was...

Yeah, I have a pretty good idea of what a deja vu is (I once had a really strong one), but I don't see how it relates to my and the OPs previously mentioned expierences or how it relates to collective consiousness. I guess the subconcious might have something to do with collective consiousness however, or even on it's own explain some of the expierences mentioned, but not all of them I think.
