Huzzah is napped with nearly every entity in Syndicate, and 3 regions around it. ExM nanos still (well, some do, and they run while their friends die) The guys down in jqv always give us some fun, and its a nice fun because we dont want their space, they dont want ours, we just pew pew, although Ares GodofWar is a real pansy. But in the end, we clearly smack around anything that comes at us unless its 4 to 1 or greater, and we completely own Solitude nearby, just because we can and most players there are bad. Isula or whatever they are fight sometimes, but gate guns are tough because we are all outlaws and they will wait for the guns to turn on us.
All in all, mucho funo. I hear Foom is moving back into JQV, always nice to smack bruce ladies around.

Recently my corporation took a brief spell in Syndicate and I can say from what I saw with my own eyes HF didn't seem to rely on other people to get the job done. Kudos to them.

This would be a development no more than 30 days old. Not too long ago everybody flying around was side by side HF shooting at the few that weren't with them.
I did forget to mention Cry Havok, they come around, and I spotted some nice ships that dropped nice loot too, to check them out if you see them :D

Edited by: Mistress Suffering on 25/02/2009 06:12:44 I haven't noticed Huzzah being particularly NAPish lately. Mostly they're just a bit quieter after getting abused a fair bit by PL/SoT.
SoT cruise the area in HAC/recon groups somewhat regularly and own a bunch of towers they took away from Huzzah.
Rote Kapelle is relatively active and has driven out some Russian and fail alliances that used to live around them.
ZER0 did a couple drive bys but I haven't seen them again recently.
Beyond that, just the usual cast of chars who show up from time to time.

But yeah, Syndicate is still Syndicate. Lots of random roaming gangs, really not hard to find a fight no matter who you're napped with there.

Mistress is probably closest to the mark tbh. Whilst PL/SoT did indeed take several towers, the actual damage done was relatively minor (except to the Towers ofc ) when you look at ships lost etc. Those tower losses were pretty much inevitable, as Huzzah is typically a Small to Medium gang PvP alliance, rather than into that POS stuff - and we simply lacked the will in the end to keep showing up to defend them. I for one certainly don't miss the CTAs and POS repping crap. Less ISK is a bit ****ty tho
If we have been a little less active in Syndicate lately you'll find its actually due to a little roadtrip we're on atm - the KB hasn't suffered at all.
and @ Eradication - those are ballsy comments from an alliance with a 30-odd % efficiency on our KB - you really should make sure you have APIs from all your member corps.
And to our wonderful friends at NOTR much <3 and best wishes in catching up on the goss. I know BRUCE's death left you devastated with no one to have a go at on CAOD, but at least make it plausible next time _______________________

Hmmm, I actually went and looked up that fight. So it was you who did the big job there and not Veritas or Doctrine (who seem to have brought the bulk of the ships)? Riiiight...
So mate, if you gonna brag, then make sure you actually have the rights to it. Atm there is a whole lot of barking coming from your direction, but I dont see any teeth.
Lower syndicate has picked up lately. Lot of newcomers moved in and trying to hold on to system here or there, few have moved on and what is best: we dont have to fly far to get a fight. JQV pocket is pretty active and gives us constant stream of targets.
Around syndicate I have noticed this pattern (atleast in euro tz): Lot of pew pew, until Huzzah decides to mop up JQV pocket and surrounding areas, they expand, go do the job (a few nice fleet battles along the way) and then when the job is done the lower syndicate gets boring for a few months. No targets as they all moved away. Give a month and Huzzah implodes, another month and the targets start to come back until the infestation is enough to warrant another expansion by Huzzah to go and wipe em out. It's a vicious cycle down here.
We the local carnivores are thankful for the rich and bountiful hunting grounds and hope it will continue like this for many many seasons to come.

Seriously though. I <3 HF and I think they are a good lot generally, but when I was in Syndicate it seemed like they had a little too many people packed in one place. You snoop in a HF system and straight away there are 20 people to chase you away.
Maybe you guys need to expand some more? :D

Yeah, I missed Veritas Immortalis in my list. They base out of the EF- pocket and for a little while were really growing fast and seemed poised for bigger and better.
They then went on a short push towards Cloud Ring right after Shade had handed over Sovereignty to DACO and snagged one of the stations while Sov was down. DACO promptly took it back, Veritas went back to Syndicate and then (from my outside perspective) apparently broke standings with some of their allies and have contracted a bit again.
They're still around and active, but not as large now.

Edited by: Kal''Kalagan on 25/02/2009 20:16:26 The excursion into Cloud Ring by Veritas a few weeks back was not a pre-planned operation. We saw that the space up there was changing hands and our FC's decided to take a couple of decent sized gangs up there to see what was what and hopefully get some fights. Upon arrival sov was neutral and with nothing better to do we shot the station and claimed it. It was taken back straight away of course and we didnt have the proper logisitcs in place to make a real fight for the space.
Like many alliances in Syndicate we have a small blue list, Doctrine & Eradication our our only allies (all our other blues are alt corps) and if we venture out into conquerable Sov space we face the prospect of running into the major coalitions who would brush us aside as a mere anoyance. We've got the likes of PL/SoT to the South of us who as someone has said control nearly all the high ends in Syndicate/Cloud Ring/Outer Ring and therefore the wealth and capital fleets to defend them. We've got IRON, TCF and the entire NC to the North.
We've considered making a fight for Cloud Ring several times but are under no illusions that should any of the above mentioned powers wish to take it from us they would do so at a stroke. Besides the current Cloud Ring residents seems to have a healthy coalition of there own. Any war over Cloud Ring would be a hard fought scrap between medium powered coalitions and at the end of it the spoils would still belong to PL/SoT.
We have no desire to join any of the major coalitions, not that any would take us to be honest as there is simply too much history and bad blood between us, so we bide our time in Syndicate waiting .... that pretty much sums up Veritas and probably most of the alliances who reside in Sydnicate.

I admittedly haven't been with ERAD that long (1 month), but since I've been here we haven't lost any engagements to you. Tell your FC's for me not to trickle fleet members through gates when there are 30+ HACs on the other side:P

Our allies are also not pets, they are self-sustainable alliances whom we have befriended. We cannot hold a large pocket of space alone (nor have any desires to) and thus allied up with them to control the area together.
We just work together, no sharing of isk or any of that crap. ---
