I'm all for balance but the missle nerf is not balance. No matter what size of missle you use is should do a set abount of damage against a ship. heavy missles and above hitting frigs for 20 damage that is utter crap that is not balance that is making frigs uber again. Why not code in missles have a higer chance to miss not screw the damage. A 5k torp only does 20 damage to a ship that cost less than the missle. the caldari being primary missle useer take the hit the hardest along with people npc hunting and agent running. these kind of nerfs need to stop.

Yes this "balance" makes absolutely no sense. The size of the target only sets an upper bound on the possible damage to it(eg. if a frigate has 600 total hp, it isn't possible to do more than 600 damage to it), it should in no way lower the damage of my scourge missiles from 207 to 56.
PS: This is not included in the patch notes, if you're going to do something at least tell us please.

Exactly. Well said. Changes need to be made that make sense, or NOT BE CHANGED. First you have Concord jumping you for splash damaging a can. Is it changed so Concord doesn't come in to protect a trash can? No, it's changed so that missiles don't do splash damage. Oh, but they still have pretty explosions! Make sense? No. Now, someone gets the idea that missiles are too good against frigates. Do they change it so that large missiles have a harder time hitting frigates? No, they change it so that somehow frigates are better armored against missiles than Battleships. Make sense? No.

well torpedo shouldnt be able to hit a frig in 1st place.....its like useing Tank vs ants..same for heavys....(should be able to hit better frigs then top tho) **********************************************************

I think you don`t understand: The nerf is in less damage being caused (so they must somehow have better Armor?? It defies logic....) It`s a bit like hitting a nut with a sledge-hammer, but only *****ing it, instead of smashing it....

I think you don`t understand: The nerf is in less damage being caused (so they must somehow have better Armor?? It defies logic....) It`s a bit like hitting a nut with a sledge-hammer, but only *****ing it, instead of smashing it....

Yeah, I guess my complaint was that this doesn't make sense, and that the missiles/torps should maybe miss. But, now that I think about it some more and don't just complain, I guess the way to understand this is to view it as the missile or torp can't hit as close to the small ship, so damage is reduced by the explosion happening farther away from the target. Guess that makes sense.

Yeah these changes are huge, drastic and broken, I can't even consider using heavies VS frigates now, thats silly, there are 5 levels of missles, rockets, lights, heavies, cruises and torps, suddenly only the rockets and lights are good vs frigates? why are rockets better than heavies? aren't they unguided? Well I'll leave the ranting to others, but this is broken..

Did you also know that artillery fire inflicts far more casualties than does small arms fire in modern warfare?

just a quick word, missles are far lighter than you "Light and Agile" frigates, nor do they have to worry about crushing a pilot with inertial forces, they should be much more maneuverable than a frigate, even at the biggest sizes, unless you're indicating that a cruise missle is larger than a frigate?

This is not right. If i drop nuke in one city, the humans inside of buildings just burned a little ? and then i fire in rocket launcher in any room, then humans die immediately ? Thats impossible, dont say the ship size is matter what missiles is fired agaist ships. Torpedo have 500m splash damage, the one little 4k pirate is eating my torps ? Thinkings better.... this change is pathetic... this is make the caldari ships useless ruins.
