Edited by: QuoMor on 28/02/2009 13:59:46 Hello everybody,
Today, before the new version Apocrypha comes up on March 10th, there should be a new resolution.
That is why I call on you all to think about the posibilities.
Have you all noticed that all the missions of eve repeat themselves over and over. Therefore, I believe that something must be done. Think about it, should'nt there be a better mission scheme for such a great game of eve. Should'nt there be better mission and far more mission storylines per agent implemented in this game.
I believe that for what our time, effort, patiences, and MONEY, CCP should write far more storyline missions, and implement them to improve this game and not get as many repeated missions as often we do. To help this strike: 1) you can create an ingame petition with a subject MISSION STRIKE and then write your feelings and comments to CCP asking them to create more missions. 2) And, you can send an email to [email protected] with the subject MISSION STRIKE! telling them what you think.
That should help us get their attention.
Come on lets turn this game around and take CCP by the horn, and make them work for us, and not so much us work for them.
Thanks!

I agree, what they should do is have really cool missions, that arc in an epic fashion... but i guess it will never happen

Epic storylines come in on March 10th, though the first one will be low level. However new ones will be continually added after that. Is this the kind of thing you are after?
If so it is already happening.

So you would send a helping email to [email protected] and tell them about your feels of MISSION STRIKE! "I sense the dark side is strong with this one" JOIN THE DARK SIDE, DOOMSDAY DEFINES ALL, AND THE FORCE MAYBE WITH YOU.... |

I think this was sarcasm.
Hoping your reply was too.

I understand what you mean, that the new eve Apocrypha will implement epic missions.
But those mission will run the same problem. They will repeat themselves and every agent that you go will give you the same mission over and over, and that should stop.

If after seven years they've taken this long to add low level ones I'm not expecting anything high level for another year.
They could surprise us but I doubt it.
Right now I'm more interested in how a two week old character can get to worm hole content come march 10th.

Yes you have a point, but those missions run the same problem, they will repeat themselves like every other mission so far.
Aren't you tire of cripling your eyes from doing the same missions over and over, come on, there have go to be a way. Space Shuttle |

Congratulations on attempting to tie up the petition system and the support system. As you obviously well know, the GMs sit in the same room that the devs do. Spamming them will certainly get the devs to take notice and improve content, rather than just banning you.

Annoying the GMs is certainly not the best way I can think of to accelerate the schedule for mission writing. CCP have already told us that they have the new tools written to write these epic arcs, they'll introduce the first one in the expansion, and they'll be writing more.
If you want to have your voice heard, please post in the Assembly Hall thread to let the CSM know that you are keen to see more epic mission arcs written quickly. The CSM is the voice of the player in terms of speaking to CCP management.
The process has been put in place, please use the process.

Also I don't know whether you've put this together but the whole point of the wormhole side of Apocrypha but it is supposed to be a major expansion to Eve PVE content.
Sleepers=New high level PVE content Mission Arcs= New low level PVE content
...with more to follow soon. What exactly are you asking? For the whole of Eve development to be put aside for making new missions for you?

Edited by: Jita XOXOXO on 28/02/2009 20:49:35 OP: Oh and I guess you didn't even read the dev blog concerning the epic mission arcs. They are only repeatable every 3 months.
3 Months!
I wouldn't say that is over and over and over again by any means.

Better idea! Stop running Missions! Then the rest of us can make that filthy scab money I hear so much about.

What do you suggest? That each mission only happens once per person?
So if you're running missions at a rate of 2 per hour, the devs write new content at this same rate?

What I suggest is that Game Devs write as many missions as possible, or at least to implement 5 new missions every 6 months, that way you don't run in the redonden scheme of repeat missions. And what they can do to help with the extensive writing of new missions is to setup a team made up of active players with a good imagination who would dedicate their time in suggesting new storylines and mission schemes. It would work like the volunteer program. Space Shuttle |

Out of curiousity , have you ran ALL the mission types for all 4 levels ? The mining, trading , exploring...other than the usual combat missions ?
Theres a lot of missions out theres, just divided by mission TYPE and mission LEVEL so a player focusing on his/her prefered type wouldnt see most of the other types... thus dividing the total missions by mission TYPES (- the type/s the player prefers).
The only true way to lose the repeat mission issue is to create a long storylines that lead the player about in a linear manner... do this mission and fly to this system and speak to this agent, repeat.
Simply demanding the devs to write up more missions isnt as easy as it sounds, you got to factor in the other mission types must also get some love (you may not like mining, but someone does)... quiet a large job in fact isnt it ?
Some things are painfully obvious, others must be made obvious...painfully. |
