Edited by: Nuclear Warrior on 01/03/2009 14:26:01 I recently just finished training advanced weapon upgrades to pilot my Kronos, but I am having problems fitting itfor blaster-boat pvp, I cant seem to make it really any better at all than my current Navy Mega:
7x Ion Blaster II
1x Fleeting web 1x Faint warp disruptor 1x Heavy cap booster II 1x Quad-lif Fueled booster rocket
1x Damage control II 1x Serpentis Magstab 1x Magstab II 2x Amarr Navy EANM 3x 1600mm RTP
3x trimarks
(fits with 0.5 CPU to spare, hence the need for a few faction mods.)
I experimented with Active and passive tanks, but nothing seems to top the 1144 DPS and 237k EHP (I have some low-grade slaves aswell) I get out of my Navy Megathron. Also considering the Navy Megathron + rigs + fittings costs 500m-ish it is actually cheaper to lose than a Kronos aswell.

I would stick with a local rep setup over a buffer tank on a Kronos. The repping bonus, while not making all the difference in the world does make a dual LAR tank pretty powerful. Also, The gigantic cargo bay lends itself to lots of cap boosters.

He already answered to your questions, if you can't read, sorry, but it's your fault. hint: start removing a couple of 1600 plates and put 2 LAR and see how you do, it depends on your style though, tbh.

ANY marauder used for PVP while not sporting an ECCM module is a dead marauder.

Marauder + ECCM still gives you lower sensor strength than a lot of battleships and you're going to have ALL of their ECM on you anyway.
It's probably a lot better to fit more delicious 90% webs and have your gang help out with ECM support, either by shooting them or applying projected ECCM to you, or both.
imho of course, not possessing the embarassing amounts of isk to fly marauders into pvp :P __________________________________

cant fly them yet but id fit it something like this:
rigs: nano pump, nano accelerator
lows: 2x ammar nay lrg reps, 2 ammar navy eanms, damage control II, shadow sep mag stab, centi c-type nano plate
mids: web, disruptor, mwd, heavy cap booster, all t2
highs: 4 ions, 3 med nos's as cap a real issue on this ship
drones 2 ogres, 2 hammerheads 1 hobgob
tanks 1.5 dps does just under 1kdps
you could drop the web or point for an eccm if your in a fleet, but solo or small gang i wouldent bother, u need a web an mwd on a blaster boat, and you ofc need the booster and point to keep yourself going and the enemy from running away.

Use the Kronos to earn ISK....To buy more Navy Megathrons.
Kronos can work very well in a RR gang as a sucker ship, but solo it'll fail unless you stick to ganking newbies. Anyone with some experience in PVP will just shut you down with ECM drones or a griffin. |
