Plenty of us have alts on the same account and multiple accounts. One feature I would like is to be able to switch (within the same account) to another character without the client reloading and having to log back in.

you used to be able to do this,
there was a problem with clearing session state so unusual and interesting things used to happen.
from then on they logged us out completely.
i agree how ever that this is something they ought to be able to get around to fixing. |

I heard there were some client memory issues as well and the quick fix was to kill and reload the client on log off.
Just sounds like it was put away as a backlog item and needs a few good pilots to bring it back up again :) |

I wonder if this has resurfaced - since Inferno I've noticed that if I login with one character, then log off and login with an alt on the same account, the first character is still listed in the Local Chat channel, even many minutes later. In fact, I've never seen him disappear! |

I totally 100%. It's the most obnoxious thing in Eve. I feel like I am playing an MMO from 1998... I was disappointed when I knew it was not in game, I became extremely disappointed to find out it once was in game didn't work properly and CCP removed it instead of fixing it. This is a standard option in every MMO I've ever logged on to in the last 12 years except Eve. |
