Bate Sol	Posted - 2009.03.02 01:59:00 - [1] Okay before i get flame tarded, no i havn;t just died because of one, im getting annoyed at having to leave targets cause falcons are attached. My argument is this, the Falcon can use Ecm jammers, to a range of 200km (with rigs), firstly no other Ewar recon from another race can achive even hald of this race. Secondly it puts the falcon out of harms way. Why must rapiers, arazu and pilgrims risk there necks in close to medium range combat, when a falcon is farily safe out at 200km. My second argument is why can a falcon effectivly kill multiple ship's locking abilites, where as any other recon with an effective fit can nuke 1 maybe 2. Serriosuly i just wish they would reduce the range to say 50km so we have a chance to nail the feker, if its screwing us over.

Also learn that the Arazu and Falcon have very different roles, so comparing their weaknesses is just stupid. -----------

With this next patch, a warpin on a falcon is only a 10 second scan away. A tach Apoc or something is still a better counter, but now you have a lot more options if fielding a papertank BS isn't an option.

Bit skill intensive though I miss the pre qr officer web rapier that and an arazu (with 3 damps) can damp a falcon with sensor booster (targeting range) and info warfare 5 gang bonus to 35.75 km (32.5 km with no gang bonus) lock range. the arazu has 48km point range

Unless i missed a new one that said summat differently it was a passing comment to placate whiners that they give every topic that is presented them. Q & A comments/whines actually get nerfed less than 1% of the time.

There is plenty of counters to falcons, anyone who whines clearly doesn't have a clue. As for the 200km... that is the top end of the falloff. Plus, if your meeting pilots with 200km bm's then maybe you need to stop roaming other peoples homes and go back to mining in empire cos you clearly fail at roaming
