ok so game informed me the box set is now launching on 13th instead of 6th
so this either means the expansion is delayed to 15th-20th or they are changing the boxset to the expansion patch involved with it
my guess is that it is all delayed :p

TBH makes sense. Buy a game and as soon as you login you are invited to make a download of 1.3 Gigs ... . Not very good PR

Umm, I've never seen a quoted release date for the boxed edition for the 6th. Everytime I saw it on either Amazon, Play or Game it was always quoting the date of the 13th. It's been like that for over a month.
As for what's in it, I'm pretty sure it's been said somewhere that it's already gone gold and merely has the current QR release on it.

I've heard they contracted with Santa and his elves. Seems they have an amazing turn-around time for both repackaging and shipping to the retail stores. ----------- Cleaning up the garbage in null sec, one belt at a time... |

Before Wrath of the Lich King you had to download in excess of 2gigs in patches after buying the burning crusade for World of Warcraft. Dont even get me started on if you bought the non-TBC version. And now to get WOTLK you need to buy TBC.
MMO players dont give a crap about price nor bandwidth these days. ______________________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

Well... my online shops still say it's 11th/12th and as far as I remember it they planned all the time to release it AFTER the patchday.
Btw I doubt that they will include the Apocrypha version on the DVD since the new client isn't even complete by now like the tons of SISI patches suggest and if I remember correctly it would take several weeks to produce a new set of boxes from another master. ----------------------------- OMG THE SKY IS FALLING! Probably delayed due to the fact that if they do have any issues on release day, they don't want new box-set owners put off by it. --- Have a rawr on me. |

No, we're not delaying the launch of Apocrypha. It's still very much on for the 10th :) We're looking into why Game UK is suggesting otherwise.

In the UK, this kind of retail release always happens on a Friday. No idea why, but it's bit me in the butt with expansions for other MMOs in the past.

We have received confirmation that Apocrypha will be released on March 12 in Europe and the rest of the world and on March 10 in the US and Canada.
This is purely down to the way retailers operate in each territory, as a previous GAME employee myself, they prefer Friday releases for new titles.
Apocrypha is still right on schedule for a March 10 release for everyone.
