What are the different special forces unites mentioned in fiction? I don't remember off the top of my head, but the Amarr have some type of trained Matari warriors who are their 'top dogs'.
I also remember mention of Caldari fighters who were the '****nit', so to speak.
Anyway, if you guys could help me out, I'd appreciate it.

dont know what is in the fiction but id say that every empire has atleast two spec ops divisions, one trained more in space combat(taking ships, stations, defending the same things, trained in combat while in suits and zero-g etc) and another would be planetary deployment with more training in survival in a varity of surface climates. either way they would likely be deployed by a cloaked ship.

The Amarr have the Kameiras as special forces. Minmatar slaves that are trained since childhood and totally loyal to their masters.
The Minmatar also have their own kind of Special Forces, the Valklear which are described in Theodicy |

I'm not sure, but seeing as the Caldari are divided among multiple mega corporations, I would expect each corporation has their own special forces. Including the Caldari. And the Gallente, well, if you read that eve novel "To live in seperate peace" Or whatever its called, is about Gallente special forces trying to capture a Caldari general. -------------------------------------------------------------- "Youtube, its like a pitri dish of stupid."

Gallente's have special police, "intel" units. I remember their mention in a couple of the stories that came out around FW time... But those could just be standard issue government spooks...
The Intakis have an obligation to defend the Federation, but not to assult others on its behalf. |

That is cool as heck. I was actually thinking of another group, though. I remember reading about an inter-corporation 'tournament' that the Caldari hold to basically see who's got the better security forces. It's a big spectacle, as many of the participants die or are never found again, etc.
One group among them, though, is considered the reigning champions. I can't find the chronicle again, nor the name ... which is incredibly annoying
Thanks for all the help from everyone, though. Still searching, so more input is really appreciated.

That's Masks of Authority with Ishukone Watch being the reigning champions. ______________________________________________ -My respect can not be won, only lost. It's given freely and only grudgingly withdrawn. |

Thank you. That's exactly what I was looking for.

And to Live in Peace goes into a Federation (Gallente) spec ops unit attempt to grab a Caldari Army general.
Also the corporate forces described in Masks of Authority aren't 'special forces' but highly trained corporate forces. A real world parallel would be if GE, Phillips, Mistibushi, Sony, etc had their own Blackwater Incs just with F-22s, Crusader MBTs, and Ford-class Aircraft Carriers.
