Quote: Having tried to patch with the autopatcher and getting a fail (blocked by my network's firewall) I tried downloading manually. The manual patching seemed to corrupt my install so I attempted to manually download the full build after uninstalling my client. I recieved this error during the install Extracting EVE_Premium_Setup_84244.exe Extracting eveonline_84244.7z CRC failed in eveonline_84244.7z Unexpected end of archive I have repeated the download half a dozen times and am constantly getting this error message.
somes else posted this in a new thread which was locked with no reply but it effects me and one mate too, so rather than just locking stuff can we have some answers please or at least "were looking into it" ive now been capped by virgin media after wasting what speed i do get during the day and im not downloading this on a 2.5meg speed rather than 10meg if however the uploaded content wasnt screwed....

Thats not the problem.
Now even if it works this time I have to spend hours redoing all my overview settings again.
and again
and again.
Thanks for another failed patch CCP
fix your computer before trying to do things that most ppl has done successfully OR state your comp specs and wait for a solution, also, client settings reside in a different location so they are probably in working condition
excuse me? since when did u know become godlike? my pc works fine thankyou and my specs are irrelevant here as people who are installing this patch can CLEARLY play the game or we wouldnt be trying to patch it. and as for "most people" have you seen how many pages/threads there are for problems?
get a clue before u spout crap

Right ok dont know if this will help anyone but i finally got it sorted, i tried to auto patch but failed, downloaded new client which CRC failed. deleted all my eve cache etc (backup settings if u need them) restarted PC then i used the auto patcher a second time, which worked, then asked me to install a 13mb patch, now i can run eve and it says not accepting connections (instead of incompatable)
funily enough tho my mate on win7 only had one patch to install (the big one) assume vista might apply too
hope this might help some of you guys having problems
