2.8MB/S Download speed.
If you are getting less than what your connection is rated at, it most likely has something to do with your ISP and current traffic on your line and not anything to do with CCP. Gyala Frey |

Originally by: Robbie Robot Mb connection, or MB? Most connections are measured in Mb, which means to covert it to a MB, or KB connection, you divide by 10 (because Bytes have 10 bits for TCP/IP). Getting about half your bandwidth is normal, and you should be happy that CCP doesn't have a policy of throttling connections.
WTF?! A byte has 10 bits when pushed over a TCP/IP connection? Did the IETF finally introduce the decimal system? What's next, SDRAM modules with power-of-ten sizes?
But seriously, you are probably confusing several concepts. I think, what you actually mean is that the protocol stack has some overhead, so that if you have a 20 Mbit/s connection on link layer, your net data rate on transport layer will be somewhat below. Also note that communication speeds are always given in base10, so 1 Mbit/s = 10^6 bit/s, not 2^20 bit/s.

the PC in general have very little to do with the download speed, not to mention not everyone have the option to get 100Mbit connection, and I doubt you do either.
