Any info yet on strength of these sites? I'm in one called "Unsecured Frontier Reciever" 3 Awakened Preserver Cruisers and 5 Emergent Defender Frigs.
Radar sites are typically easy but since its W-space Im wonering if a raven could handle it.
its a WH from null.

... you want him to die don't you?
If its shallow w space your good, but if its anything else you'll be screwed hard and fast.

The initial spawn looks easy, but every w-space Radar site I've done, there *will* be more and harder spawns. When you get more than 2 BS to handle, I'd start aligning and keeping an eye on anything that can scramble you.
Btw, Raven.. I *really* hope you got a plan for killing those crazy fast frigs that scram/web and have signature of a pixel. Cruises doesn't really cut it.

I've not been in a "shallow" or "deadly" WH but the middle tier types containing "frontier" sites, I would seriously advise warping out at 2 sleeper BS and support. Those BS do serious DPS, you will die.
To give you some idea. I have a mega tank domi can do any Lev4 with no problem at all. 3rd spawn in a sleeper Frontier Stronghold. 1 BS and 6 support cruisers. I lost 1/2 my armour in the 1st strike from the spawn. Both reppers could not handle the DPS. The BS was hitting for ~800 resisted damage.

That sounds wiered. I did it in a Passive tank Drake last night. There where 3 Cruiser + 1 BS and i didnt even had any rigs on. I just warped out 2 times. I killed them all. The thing is, that the range on the BS, what i found out is that its ****. So, if u are in any sniping ship that can switch ammo type. U should do perfekt. i could tank it all from 100km away. But when i was around 10km from the BS it striked hard. Just keep that in mind, and remeber those cruisers move around 1-2k m/s

Actually it does nto matter if the wormhole is normal dangerrous or deadly. The only thing that matter is the name of the site: Perimeter = easy, Frontier = medium, Core = hard. They are the same no matter what system they spawn in. So should you happen upon a core site in a class 2 system (yes, it can happen) be prepared to fight the fight, its not on easy mode just be course its in a class 2 system and not a class 6.
What the dangerrous/deadly tag tells you is how likely you are to find the harder sites in the system.

I'm afraid this is wrong. Frontier sites in a C5 are* harder than those in a C4, and Core sites in a C6 are* harder than Cores in a C5 etc. (* means generally, there can be extremely tough ones that pop up below their normal level sometimes). 90% of Instrumental Core Reservoirs will appear in C6, with C5's usually getting at max Vital Core Reservoirs, significantly less valuable but also easier to clear of sleepers.
Anyways, what you guys are a bit confused about is that Sleepers come in three 'flavours': basic, intermediate and advanced. Sure you'll be able to handle a trio of cruisers and a pair of BS in a C2 wormhole's Radar site in your BC or HAC. Gl taking out the two advanced sleeper BS guarding an Instrumental Core Reservoir with anything less than 4 RR battleships or a few command ships and some logistics ships though. Also, it has come to my attention that I'm really in need of a proper signature. |

Yes, site with different names are different. Duh! But a Vital Core Reservoir is allways equally hard, no matter in what class it appears in. Its just much less likely to spawn in a lower class system.

Indeed, I was just pointing out that just because you've done 5 'frontier' sites in a C4 up to now doesn't mean the next one isn't going to be a 'frontier' site that usually only spawns in a C5 and is considerably harder. The designation of P/F/C alone is only a very rough guide, and system C-level is equally vague for difficulty-reference at times. Also, it has come to my attention that I'm really in need of a proper signature. |

Done my share of research on Wormholes. I've really tried to find answers...but as with this game much of the knowledge is learned through osmosis vice some type of coherent knowledge base. So my question is:
How do you determine the class of a wormhole? I gather it's 1 - 6 but how does one tell?

You cheat.
Kinda... The info is in the export data, so it aint really cheating. Besides all systems of the same class have the same backdrop, so you should learn to tell them apart fast enough.
