Thanks CCP, for locking and deleting the only post pointing to a Bittorrent of the Mac Client. Since you guys are so diligent, any chance you yourselves could host a bittorrent file? When I click on your "bittorrent" link all I get is a .exe
That would be great, since I cant download your client any other way.

CCP i can call you many bad names now, but i think you deserve still a chance. Hey ppl get serious and provide MAC users with something real. I am looking for last 5 hours how to update my f*********king clinet to Apocrypha. Correct me if i am wrong but i am not paying for something that i cant use right? So be good and post a link if we mac ussers can still play this game or just tell us "you won't be abble to play anymore sry" My job is rly not to follow billions of links and treads just to find where possibly you may or may not post link for working patch or client .......

They have been posting the link a long time ago. Here it is again http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/mac/eve-premium_002289_84244_mac.dmg
Notes: - The file is not served out by CCP but by one of the largest data distribution networks (used by Microsoft, Amazon, Dreamworks Google, AElectronic Arts and other companies that need to move huge amounts of data to huge numbers of customers). There is no badwidth throttling at the source. The file comes out easily at multiple hundreds of KB per second. If it's coming slowert than that, the bottleneck is not at the server but somewere in your provider connectivity. - The file is HUGE, therefore there are very good chances that the download gets one or more interruptions. - DO NOT use Safari for the download: the way safari handles this sort of downloads is not resilient to interruptions. You may end up with a corrupted (or more likely truncated) file without Safari warning you. - Even if Safari manages to download the file correctly, it will rename it and treat it as a compressed archive even if it actually is a disk image (this is a problem with the mime type that the file is served with and the fact that Safari tryes to guess the file type and gets it wrong, but it can still be a problem). - DO use a file downloader that can reliably handle large files. It will also be faster. An example of this would be FireFox extension "Down them All". - At the very least, if you really do not want to use a downloader, use Firefox or another HTTP client that simply saves the file as is without trying to guess what it is like Safari does.

Im using 'down them all' now. Thanks.
While leery of weird little third party applications, I understand this is how "Things Are Done" in the fascinating DIY world of PC gaming which, I am given to understand, functions like a hobby of the blowtorch and goggles variety, a sort of electronic garden shed. One relies on gidgets and makeshift work-arounds to get ones PC to function as advertised.
This appealing Sterling Moss approach to computers reminds me of an earlier time, when I used to type in oceans of machine code from C&Vg magazine and badly designed games would appear on my Commodore.
I thought those days were long, long past - but happily they are not. The compu-enthusiast still has a place in the world of trying-to-make-a-game-come-on-your computer-telly.

when you have problems finishing the download you might try the commandline tool "wget".
open a terminal and type/paste this:
cd ~/Downloads && wget http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/mac/eve-premium_002289_84244_mac.dmg
you'll find the download in your Download folder or stack

They have all the bandwidth they could possibly need. Why would they want to inconvenience their users by using BitTorrent? ---- FREE Explorer Lead Megalomanic EVE Null-Sec Player Influence Map http://dl1.eve-files.com/media/corp/Veritefw/FWinf |

I'm using the curl command and getting a respectable average download speed of 470 kbps. Hopefully it'll work after the several abortive attempts at using Safari.
