Or scan them down while they are scanning for sigs/anoms.
But that actually requires a little bit of work.
Think about it though:
- Scan down a ship thats looking for something to do.
- Warp to that location.
- If he's still scanning he's probably got the system map up and can't see you. (Lock him up, cripple him, and blow him away)
- If he's found a target and warped to it, and you stop in the middle of nowhere, he'll probably be back, especially if it is his 'safe-spot'. (Or scan him down again, but the Sleepers may get you)
In other words, 'Stalking makes the killing enjoyable'

What's the deal.
Carebears already stay out of lowsec and 0.0. Are wormholes so much harder to stay out of?

You tell them "if you want real PvP go to low-sec/0.0"? Carebears don't want PvP, that's kinda the point?

Here is a nother deal.
CCP created one of the biggest part of the game for the smallest part of customers. That's 00/lowsec where 50% or more systems are EMPTY -> wast of recurces.
Now CCP created a full punch of new content and you try to force people to stay out again? -> nother wast of recurces (and aforded time for creating all the stuff).
Thinking with your eyes: Highsec is for cearbears. PvPler stay out of it! Resulting in no insurence from CONCORED involved kills, no wardecs anymore and making highsec absolut save (no aggresive aktions against other players in any form).
Well, I know you don't like this idear. But what can we expect from forum troll alts anyway .

We (the pirates) arnt trying to force people out. If anything we want more people to come to go through the wormholes.
If you dont want to lose your shiny little ship either use a scout, or stay in hisec, simple as that.

Get out of your carebear alt corps and join something with people at at least try and blob if you aren't PVP smart. But just sitting there whinning that you can't get to more isk without having to participate in a PVP oriented game is stupid. STFU and go back to lvl4s.

I support both the limitations on warp disrupting devices, as well as Sleeper fleet sweeps.
In spite of what's been said in this thread, Wormhole space is not 0.0 space, it just happens to be effectively 0.0 space in terms of Concord protection, and, while I agree that pvp should occur freely in wormhole space, gate camping of all sorts needs to stop fully throughout EVE Online.

So, why not go through a wormhole in one of the other thousands of solar systems in eve? And if you persist to go into a jita wormhole well then do so well prepared with scouting and or friends.
Originally by: Thorson Wiles
Fine, just make it risky for everyone. Bubble campers sit, doing nothing waiting for somebody to come through (and wind up in a known location) and while the fish is crippled strategically (can't warp out) you cripple them tactically (Web) then light them up.
You can just jump back through the wormhole you came through. You are already in jumprange so no problem here. Also you can and should of course have a scout. Its unknown space...
Originally by: Thorson Wiles
Campers don't want risk, and these will be a Jove-send for them.
If there is a risk you try to minimize it the best you can. You will never get it out of the way but you need to manage it. In your case this would - still - mean scouting which would minimize your risk substantially. Don't blame others for being more considerate players than you.
Originally by: Thorson Wiles
Just make WH space dangerous for everybody, even the pseudo carebears at the WHs. (They want to fight but only crippled opponents)
How are you crippled? If you're entering an unscouted system in a lolfit drake then yes you are. Whats to keep you from actually putting the same effort into it and gather a group of friends to bring the risk to the campers?
Eve is a game where the real risks are all player induced and so are the risks for the campers. If you don't try to kill them why should the game do it for you?
Originally by: Thorson Wiles
Can't bubble-camp - that would increase the campers danger.
How so? It would turn w-space into some pseudo-lowsec without sentries. This would make w-space safer but not mean greater risks for the campers.
Originally by: Thorson Wiles
Patrolling Sleepers - that would increase everybodyÆs danger.
Well why not we have npc spawns at the gates now too. Thing is the campers will adapt and you'll be back to square one.
Originally by: Thorson Wiles
As you said, WH space is supposed to be dangerous, right?
It already is. Thats why you are so upset, remember?

How are they campers paradise? As mentioned you can jump right back if you don't like whats on the other side even if you've agressed. No need for a reapproach at all. Gates are much easier to camp as a matter of fact. Of course you wouldn't know...
Apart from that its more than possible that no one will ever be travelling through the wormhole you're camping - remember they're randomized.

Yes, thats exactly what you were proposing.
Originally by: Thorson Wiles
Or should Wormhole Space only be enjoyable by PvPers?
Its not about being pvp or pve. Its about being smart or not. If you're smart about it you will hardly ever get ganked and cash in good profits. Not with your attitude though.
I guess your only chance is to join a huge corp where others do the thinking, fighting and scouting for you. Probably you would still get yourself killed by not reading intel chan or something while chaining triple bs spawns. Not trying to be rude per se but i can't put it any other way. --

This is actually something i agree with
Sleepers should spawn in belts, at planets, and ate wormhole entrances but only if someone has already entered and disturbed some of their hideouts.
That way it at least gives the gate campers some entertainment. But seriously haven't you even noticed my post already ended and your reading my sig? |

Hehe, well if it such a great risk then i suggest CCP let sleepers patrol wormholes now and then to keep campers occupied. It shouldn't be "risk free" for campers either, lol.
No seriously, it would make sense that sleepers patrol wormholes now and then in order to keep intruders out of their territory, and it would both occupy campers and give people a chance to get through wormhole camps.
As it is now, campers can sit safely for hours just inside a wormhole without ever fight or even see a sleeper. There should be a great risk for campers sitting in unknown as well.
This, If most campers had any real combat guts they would go try to pick off the sleepers instead of trying to pick off some carebear. Most campers are <**Edit here** Unfair generalization for all campers**> who don't want to risk their ships in a real fight.

Although I agree that WS should keep it's 0.0 status, wouldn't it be damn cool if static player player camps like at wormholes be engaged by sleeper gangs at times?
Wormhole space is sleeper teritory, they should be capable to kick a lazy "gate camper"s butt. Nothing too strong, but imho it would be a win-win situation.
Gate campers get more action, either from players jumping through, or occasional sleepers that warp in and engage.
Also it could lead to more pvp as otherwise scared players on the k-space side of the wormhole could be encouraged to jump in and give the campers a fight if they know from their scout that a sleeper attack has just begun.

think of w-space as easy access 0.0 where the rewards are higher than safe space. Now, would you randomly jump in without a scout checking it out first?
and as some have said... jump back out >.< if its camped.
tbh, if its camped... and you used your probing scout (the one that found it) come back with a ton of bs and pwn them! the campers really should just put a cloak on and sit and watch the gate for you to come in, keep quiet in local, cause you wont know they are there... and get you while your about to die to sleepers.. or get you as you run with your loot....
to ask for some change cause you feel its not fair that the wormhole you want to used is camped... and cause well, 'the mechanics are wrong' cause well... its just not fair! how about you simple find another wormhole! i mean come on... stop the whining cause using the wormhole is actually a risk.... |

Since wormholes are not gates, that would mean Sleepers can probe. Then they should be able to probe down safe-spotted player ships as well. Can they do it now? -- Pain is weakness leaving the body. |

Originally by: Uhr Zylex I did some wh-camping yesterday, and basically it sucks. Sure I killed a few ****** buzzard pilots, but people who jump into your camp via the wormhole: 1) Land right on the return side of the wormhole, not 15k off. 2) Can jump right back. 3) Can even agress and jump right back (no stargate to deny you permission for agression...).
This is why this expansion was fun for about 2 hours and now I'm back to just training skills.

Maybe Sleepers should show up with their unbeatable BS when someone shoots a player ship in their system? You could even give the wormhole systems a rating on how fast they show up? Maybe call them SleeCORD to differentiate them from the regular spawns?
Somehow that sounds familiar, but I cannot put my finger on it...
