About a year ago I had the idea to start up a military friendly based EVE online corporation (think of membership much like a Legion Post or VFW style of corp.). Back then I didnt get much generated interest overall and eventually abandoned the plan. With the release of Aprocrypha I am wondering if theres any players both New or Old who may be interested in forming such a corporation? I have acquired Isk that I am willing to utlize to start the funding and would be looking to create a PVE (to start) based corp until we can get the members and operational aspects up and running. If anyone is interested please reply and let me know, or shoot me an evemail.
I am looking for a minimum of 6-7 people before I am willing to commit to starting such a venture.
Thanks for taking the time read this, and I look forward to hearing back from the EVE Community concerning this. - E. Drohner ------------------------------------------------

I dont know anything about a Legion Post or how the VFW does things but I have often fantasized about having a corp based on real military operations, patrols of sectors, responsibility for security in certain areas, defined roles and squad based tactics.
Is this the sort of thing you are referring to? |

Not exactly, though thats entirely possible as well. Legions and VFW's are non-profit organizations that the US has established where-in military members and family are able to go and enjoy a drink, attend meetings, etc and hang out with fellow current and former military members. The primary idea is to only allow current or former military members to join, or perhaps to allow friends/family of military members (though i figure we would restrict this to only allowing those members DIRECTLY recruited by a current military member within the corporation to join). As for our operations, those can/will be discussed once I see enough interest generated. Hope that helps.

So you mean like starting a mining op or so in .5 - .6 areas and building from there?

Yes Gun - thats also a possibility. At this point I'm looking to garner interest. That said I'm looking for current or former military members who would be interested in commiting to helping me develop such a corporation.
What sorts of operations or locations, etc. can all be discussed and formalized once the interest and initial cadre are in place.

Im certainly up for this. I am currently deployed in Iraq. I am infantry. I personally feel that a military based corp would be great simply because members should have a good grasp of team work and how to run ops, overwatch, escort, security, and such. Not mention loyalty. I also know that starting a fresh corp is nearly impossible unless you already have a core group of friends. So, we should talk. I have a fair amount of resources to commit not a mention a corp thats already made.
Unfortuntely, I wont be online until I recieve my box copy of eve since we cannot download a patch that size in country. |

K1RTH, Please feel free to shoot me an evemail with some details. That said, please take note however that we would like to stay neutral to as many corporations and alliances as possible within the EVE universe. Though we realize that we may one day need to take up arms in order to survive as a community, we would prefer this to be our last resort. The Multinational Military Coalition is not attempting to become a "force to be reckoned with" but simply a community of military members from across the globe who are considered neutral in the eyes of all EVE residents. We are more than happy to accept any sort of donation that the alliances of EVE care to share with us, however, for obvious reasons we can not pledge our allegiance to any specific alliance without breaking our rules of neutrality.
To any CEO's or Diplomats that may be reading. If your alliance would like to donate to our cause, please feel to contact myself or Machtigen Hammer with details. All monetary donations will go to recruiting new members and aiding in our economic ventures. We may be willing to extend our support to your peacetime operations (hauling, mining, etc) if donations are received.

firstly - i wont be giving out any handouts, it costs us isk cumulatively for each corp that joins... this is no problem ofcourse.
second - we dont have many blues... as a choice, just some close friends. there is the option of becoming some factions pet but i am against that.
if how-ever, you want to stay neutral as-in not red to other people then well maybe walk away as we are not very popular to alot of corps/alliances im sure.
if youre still interested in my offer go to my corp recruit post at the link in my sig, leave a bump or something there so i can back to you as right now i need some shuteye.

Thank you for the heads up, I did check your alliance/corporation information and think that at this time we will have to decline your offer. On behalf of our community/corporation I would ask that if at all possible you add us to your list of "close friends", so that we can continue to operate in your presence without fear of ill-will. I do however fully understand if that goes against your "corporate mindset". That said, I would like to thank you for extending your offer to this newly budding community and only hope that you will be willing to give us some leeway. If not for the sake of being a bigger corporation who understands the complexities of attempting to start something like this, than as a show of respect for all of those who have served to protect our freedom. - E.Drohner

I have a few questions.
1. What area will you usually be operating in? 2. Do you have a website, or plans to put one together? 3. Do you have some sort of voice comms (Vent or similar)? 4. What time zone are most of the members in/what time are they normally playing?
I'm pretty much a 5.8M SP nub. Sort of a jack of SOME trades, master of none, right now. I have been running level 4 missions and doing a little mining here and there. Right now I'm training some exploration skills (trying to get to archeology and hacking). I have no desire for PvP at this point in my EVE career.
My RL background is US Navy 88-94. MM/SS (Machinist Mate/submarines). I can play most nights after 9PM (my daughters bed time). On the weekend it all depends on what I have going on, but normally I can dedicate quite a few hours to EVE. If my daughter is with her mother then there is almost no limit to my EVE time. I'm in the Eastern Time Zone of the US.

Edited by: Anastasia Frost on 18/03/2009 18:49:34 Codus+Jaden- The Corp HQ is located in the Uttindar System. Most of us use Vent for voice comms and are on the east coast. Note I said most of us, our corp is billed as a Multi-National Military Coalition so we may have some Euros as well plus deployed personnel. You will have to ask Eizmund Drohner about a website. If you have additional questions go ahead and ask Eizmund Drohner, he is our main point of contact. V/R Ana

Jaden and Codus, to answer your questions, yes we are planning to implement a website in the future. We are currently fielding a ventrilo server and will expand its capability as needed. our operations at present consist primarily of mining and cooperative mission running, but primarily as a community of fellow servicemen.
if you have more questions please feel free to contact myself or Machtigen Hammer in game. We'd be more than happy to have you both and I look forward to discussing this more with you both in game.
