I was with a small Fleet in WH space, with mixed results. However, we found a Sleeper Stronghold Anomaly with Multiple Waves of Sleepers.
The Structures of the Site had descriptions, that they were in fact, of Talocan origin.
A few examples of their descriptions:
Talocan Static Gate
This standing structure shares many similar aspects with modern acceleration gates. Whispers among Talocan lore-keepers tell of the TalocanÆs firm grasp of astronautical engineering, and this gate may offer some insight into this ancient raceÆs knowledge.
Talocan Outpost Narrow tubes and electrical wiring fill the outpost conduit. Equal parts electrical artery and linking structure, the interior of this connecting structure is in disrepair, but itÆs polyferrous hull keeps the ravages of space and time at bay.

There is deliberately no 'lore' about sleepers. They are meant to be a mysterios civilization no one thought was around anymore.
As for the Talocan stuff...
Either A, CCP plans to impliment the Talocan at some point in the future (Tech 4, here we go... ) or B, the Sleepers were meant to be the Talocan at some point in development and some descriptions were never changed. ----------------------------------------------

Esna Pitoojee are you aware the sleepers and Talocan have been in game for years with lore? There is a resonable amount of lore in empire space about the 4 races. I expact the other two are deep in wormhole space yet to be found. ______ How to Passive Shield Tank

Overall, given the information we know about sleepers and talocans, I'm fairly certain that it's the Talocan structures that are responsible for the appearance of the wormholes, but the drones&stasis units are sleeper (and kind of logical from a sleeper perspective. If you're in stasis and the only thing active is your mind having drones as your eyes and hands makes sense).
It does bring up a sort of shilling potential.
1. Talocans create the wormholes and disappear into the wormholes. 2. Sleepers discover the wormholes through a similar incident as the modern EVE capsuleers and disappear as well.
Or talocans create wormholes from X to Z (With EVE being either X or Z and W-space being the other) discover Sleepers and conflict (or some other incident) leads to their their mutual demise.

From the entry in Talocan technology
Quote: Basic understanding of interfacing with Talocan technology. The Talocan were masters of Spatial manipulation and Hypereuclidean Mathematics. Allows the rudimentary use of Talocan components in the creation of advanced technology, even though the scientific theories behind them remain a mystery.
Basically there are 5 "dead civilizations" in EVE, remains of civilizations that have died out. Talocan, Takmahl, Sleepers, Yan Jung and Jove. Jove are different because they're still around, but for example the Angels are salvaging technology from the ruins of a jovian empire (which is the basis for the technology used to build Angel and Serpentis ships). Takmahl are also different, and not really a precursor empire because they were a splinter faction from the Amarrian empire, but salvaging their remains is a part of the Amarrian COSMOS complex. The other three are the basis for the Minmatar, Caldari and Gallente COSMOS, 4 civilizations that have completely died out from New Eden (the area that regular EVE takes place in). ______________________________________________ -My respect can not be won, only lost. Compared to even the main pirate factions (Sansha's Nation, Guristas, etc.) we know very litte about the Talocan/Yan Jung/Sleepers/etc. We know (roughly) where they inhabited, and what kinds of technology they specialized in. Other than that... ----------------------------------------------

Do not forgot the ancient Terrans as the precursor to the dead Civilisations and the Enheduanni which are possibly far from being dead but evolved to something which is not human anymore.

This is some of what I ahe dug up on the Yan Jung
Race Name: Yan Jung, Race age: Unknown, at least 1000Æs of years old. Location: Settled in Deltole sector, especially Deltole V and VII. Tech Level: Around T2, some areas a little behind others further along. Technology of Note: Achieved Tech 2 level over 1000 years ago. The Yan Jung nation possessed advanced gravitronic technology and force field theories beyond T2. Have self repairing buildings that use nano tech with perpetual power sourceÆs that to date have lasted over 1000Æs years without refueling.
Lore of Note: ò Descended from unknown Humans, immigrated through the Eve gate Eons ago. ò Fragments of text translate and talk about a mysterious middle kingdom. ò Suspected to have colonised other systems, even in far off places. ò Deltole planet V and VI seemed to be more inhabitable back then. If the planets got easier to live on what happened to the Yan Jung Nation? ò Yan Jung repelling force field that's almost impenetrable with a perpetual power sauce is in game. Like the lore in game if you blow it up, then it rebuilds ò Possibly the largest Yan Jung ruins in space that still exists are over at Deltole X, close to the Stargate leading to Colelie. (warp to Coleie gate and you should see another gate off in the distance) ò The Yan Jung are more clever them some give them credit for. There micro processors are highly advance even though they are 1000's of years old. ò As far as I can tell all dates relating to the Yan Jung are 1000's of years old suggesting whatever happened to cause them vanished happened at least 2000 years ago.
