Astro,
This is a great idea and I hope things work out for you. After you get up and running, if you ever need a part-time prober and I'm around, I would be happy to assist your corp.
Great idea! |

Great stuff!
I allready helped 2 guys stuck in w-space. So its certainly an interesting idea to make some kind of profession out of it
I do have some worries about the honesty of people who would like to use this service. Like saying they are trapped, but actually not. Let u fly 20+ jumps and arrive on location where the wormy would be just to see them in local saying: Thnx, have a nice day...
Or the W911 rescue person get ganked in w-space.
But, if u have some good solutions for these kind of service-misuse, then lets have a chat :)
Certainly interesting

To the nay-sayers, this is 'legit'.
The goal is to create a non-partisan, unbiased rescue service. We will agree to assist anyone in need, even GOONS, should the need arise. In return, we hope that pilots won't hire us simply to gank us. Nonetheless, we have implemented policies and practices to ensure our pilots remain safe. We cannot guarantee every rescue, but we will do our best to lead stranded pilots home.
We will do our respect to earn the respect of Empire pilots. Our 'shield' logo was designed with Earth's ancient 'Red Cross' in mind.
On the battle field, it simplly isn't something you fire at.

What are your minimum skill requirements? I am fairly high on the science/exploration skills (level 3-5 in most) with 30 int. |

The only 'requirements' are that you have integrity and a willingness to be well compensated for your time.
We are building divisions, some are pure scanners, some are fighter support. We have logistics and even some indys willing to join the ranks.
We will function as many corporations do, but with one objective in mind. Depending on the situation, different formations will be formed.

This is a great idea, I hope it is a success. Though, I assume you'll need some sort of advertisement branch to get the word out, hah!

Gimme a chat

So how does one join? I'm very interested in joining and wonder how I should proceed. ---

I'm nitpicking here, but I have a question. If someone gets stuck in W-space and their wormhole collapses.. How do you get to where they are? It's my understanding that there are several W-space systems and you cannot move between them other than through a wormhole. Do Correct me if I'm wrong though. |

Well assuming that most pilots who get stuck in WH space will be in a "Easy" WH (the least dangerous) WRS could constantly monitor high security systems by having each pilot check 3-5 systems a day for a WH and reporting the WH System IDs of the WHs in those systems.
If a request comes in for one of those WH IDs within that day, they could try to use that WH that was reported earlier in the day.
Also, granted it may take several days, if WRS always checks the same systems daily they are bound to have a WH come up leading the the WH System that someone is stuck in.
With it being more of a 1000 to 1 odds (since most high sec systems lead to "Easy" WH Systems) and having each pilot check at least 2-3 WHs a day that means you would have 350-500 pilots. Granted some people would be more dedicated than others and have time to check 10-15 Systems and maybe find 5-10 WHs reducing the amount of work. So if people were to pay well to be taken out of systems, you could pay probers daily for each WH they find and ID in high sec.
You could also just pay some people and only rescue the ones that are lucky enough to be stuck in a WH System you have a WH to...

Speaking as corp diplo, it is my pleasure to inform you that [A I] may be interested in a joint venture... we have been exploring wormholes, helping a few pilots home (by destroying pods; it's by far the quickest way - but other methods are always possible too). Please send a mail to either myself or our CEO and perhaps we can come to some kind of arrangement.

My previous question still stands. How can I join up? It would seem like a fun corporation and I'm interested.
I replied in this topic and send an eve mail or two to Miss Glyde, but as of today I have had zero response. There's no information on how to join on the corporate description (in-game), except that "If you seek adventure, are a capable prober, PVP'er or explorer, we want to talk to you.", but how do I get you to talk to me? |

Tried that, but when I try to join I get a message telling me that the CEO doesn't have the racial skills trained to accept me. So this made me think it was on free lance base or something. But alas, no contact what so ever.
I did find another corp called "Wormhole Rescue Service[s]S[/b]" (with an "s" on the end), which seems a bit more active. So I'll poke them and see if they are active. ---
