So as far as I am concerned, we once lived in an EVE when Jita became unplayable after reaching 6-700 players.
Then after the need for speed initiative, Jita can easily top 1200 without lagging. Good Job CCP.
But since the expansion, I have had almost no hope logging into Jita.
It appears that Jita is capped at 300 players and Rens is capped at 200 players.
Was there a 'need for cap' initiative devblog that I missed? or is it that because wormholes take alot of CPU on the server side, so you need to cap every system in case the servers overload?
Why not just disable wormhole explorations in systems like Jita and Rens? Just like they removed belts in Jita.

It's so they can add a preferred customer rate later, gauranteed access to jita for an extra 25 euros a month.

Originally by: CCP Fallout I can totally understand your frustrations. However, I do ask that you focus your energies constructively so that we don't wind up with people getting totally up-in-arms and wanting to rip private personal areas off people.
I assure you, we're aware of the problems you guys are experiencing. We have two teams working around-the-clock in two offices trying to get this all resolved. EVE isn't just a product to us; it's our lives. We feel passionately about EVE as you all do, so it's extremely important to us that we fix the performance issues and other things that you've been reporting.
We just ask you do so in a constructive manner :)

We have the cap in place as a temporary measure while we conduct our investigations into the performance issues. We are slowly raising it on some, if not all systems. We hope to have an update on this soon, although I can't give you a particular time frame when that "soon" will come (but I don't think it qualifies for the tm:))

to OP and let me guess you also write angry letters at microsoft when you install your OS and without updating or getting the right driver expects the thing to work without a single hiccup.
The guys at ccp probably put together more codelines just for this patch then you will ever write in 50 lifetimes. I do tip my hat off to those guys that are probably skipping parties and booty call just to find that misplaced value in 10,000 line of codes

It's temporary while they fix server issues. Also they seem to have fixed the Jita issues and the cap there is a lot higher now.

*raises hand*
We're temporarily putting caps on systems, such as Jita, which have been experiencing tremendous performance issues since Apocrypha's launch. We're doing this while we investigate the cause.

This message is for CCP and its staff. I appreciate the update, and I do understand the challenge you're facing - test environments can never truly emulate the reality of production, especially under heavy load.
That being said - you've got to do a better job of telling your clients what is happening, especially with the Atari launch. Put a message front and center on the signin page indicating the major issues, your plan of attack, and your estimated time to resolution (if available). Keep it up to date. Post clear messages in the forums, and post more than you think is necessary. Tell your clients what is happening, and the noise level will drop.
Good luck.

I am going to wager a guess and CCP can tell me if I am close.... They added this W-Space which are for all intents and purposes new systems. Those new systems are being invaded by the eve population.. there are NPCs, roids, plexes, people using scanners all over the place...
To me it seems that they basically just added 1,000 new systems and.. that means more load.
Now, I am probably wrong and these W-Space systems have their own resources but I did not see that mentioned anyplace.
