Our scout found some Wpace with a cheetah in it, probing like mad, he goes back and forth a bit but nothing so warps back to the exit and there uncloaks a Rapier. So we jump in our Domi and she attacks the Rapier when, ofcourse, 2 pilgrims uncloak and start to help the rapier. The rapier is taking a bit but is webbed, scrammed and heavily neuted, the pilgrims kinda scratch the paint of the domi but nothing fancy.
Rapier had agressed but as it was about to enter armor he jumps out... darn! So domi retracts drones and jumps out as well, not 10 seconds after stopping the attack. Is it normal that you can use WH gates even when agressing? |

Yes.
The Aggression timer is there for mechanical man-made jumping systems. What? Is the WORMHOLE gonna deny you entering access? That makes no sense.
Next time have a team on the other side, or just accept that people can get away from you. |

Of course it still has the natural gate cloak and that makes total sense. Right, RIGHT?
Oh wait game balance doesn't care about making sense. It just happened that ccp people think its a good idea. |

Where you able to continue the fight once you got back to empire (without concord intervention)? Assuming the gate you were on lead to high sec k-space. |

No, there's no agression timer. Oh and for the record, I'm not whining about it, just asking. |

I hope not.
Well... I dunno really. On the plus side I never have to worry about aggression games, down side I can't bait any idiots into getting themselves blown up by yours truly. |

Would you get an aggression counter if you jumped from a null-sec gate to empire? Also, with regard to "WH gate"... do you mean the wormhole itself, the gate back in K-space, or did you discover something new in W-space? |

Edited by: Maglorre on 13/03/2009 04:15:49 Also of note...
- when you jump through a WH you are generally quite close to it. In most cases I've checked it I'm within jump range without even needing to move and never more than maybe 5km that I've noticed
- you can anchor large mobile bubbles over the wormhole exits in all but empire space (wormhole toll collections anyone?)
- after the first jump through a WH you can immediately jump back after your session timer expires but after the second jump there is a 4(?) minute timer before you can go back the other way again

Uh-oh. Does this mean that you can aggress on high-sec side of the wormhole and when CONCORD comes a-knocking, you can just jump through the wormhole? Time for a bug report if that is the case... -- Gradient forum |

Stop trying to make up "natural" reasons for CCP decisions.
One is to mitigate an unavoidable consequence of it being a game (load times), the other is an entirely optional game mechanic merely to change how things play out. It's not unreasonable to assume that some sort of sense is applied to the latter but not the former. -

Edited by: Zarda Sulan on 13/03/2009 11:16:04 They made wormhole space 0.0 isnt that enough as it is? comon if you start putting timers on wormholes less and less ppl will start using them - i think wormholes are a very very good idea in that they get the carebears into low sec and can taste pvp - trick is dont camp the wormhole entrances - sit by the planets- when i jump into a w-hole the first thing i do is warp to a planet. then start my scanning from there. oh and always always bookmark the w-hole that i enter from:) Huh? |

This is an excellent feature. Deters the usual gate-blob tactics.
The fact that you can actually get away from a wormhole-camp without getting killed, as apposed to gate-camps, will make wormholes more attractive to the non-uber-alliance player.
Makes it possible for groups that can not maintain a handful of gate-camps 23/7 to enjoy some 0.0 action.

If you weren't able to kill a fleet, why would you engage them anyway?
