no one uses t2 cargo optimizers on a t1 ship, missing a lot of layouts (ie 3x t1 optimizers) _________________ - "Welcome to EVE, remember to insu *BAAOOM*... Told you, newb."

Edited by: Yukon Kornelius on 14/03/2009 18:38:32 Dang nice work,
I use industrials to haul ore, like silver(y) and gold(en) omber! To me its a shame to waste a perfectly good industrial hauling around newfangled electronic crap when it could be hauling rocks. Therefore, I can't be bothered with GSC's inside an industrial because there is no way I am going to open up 10 GSC's and load into them from a jetcan. That's a waste of time when I could be looking for a peppermint mine!
Thanks, and look out for bumbles as I saw a few tracks around here last week.

The t2 Optimizers are there to show the absolute max haulage a ship can do, I agree that nobody would use them, or atleast not many people.
For the t1 Optimizers, they are included in the Extended Layout III sections.

I'd love to see this for transports as well, as any serious industrialist would train up their respective racial Industrial skill to 5. Caldari in my case, and let me tell you that it IS worth it long term (both for the covert version (Crane), and for the XL capacity version (I can't remember the name, but it has 5 lows, and with 5x extenders, it is awesome)). You can open all the GSC's at the same time into 1 tabed window, just select them all and right click, select open containers and just select new tabs as needed, i have 30 GSC's in my Orca bringing its total m3 upto 120km3 and thats before I fit Optimizers.

Not sure if people use it on indys but I use Overdrive Injectors on my Cranes. My standard Crane fit is 2x Cargo Rigs, 2x Cargo Expanders II and 2x Local Hull Conversion Overdrive Injectors. Crane has 2 low slots available which gives the cargo hold range between 4,180m3 to 9,405m3 with varying CE and OI fits (up to 12,105m5 with 3 GSCs). It's a very versatile ship, perfect for running around with small to medium amount of cargo.

You have a few errors in that spreadsheet.
First, the ship bonus from the Industrial skill does not multiply with each level. It just adds up - so Industrial V gives you a regular +25%, not +27.628%
Second, the accumulated bonus of your first Expanded Cargohold II seems to be wrong somehow. Maybe a typo in your formula.

the calc i made which is part of my mining/refining calc includes those......not sure how my setup compares to this one though.

This looks good, and should be helpful for some. I question why posting the maximum cargo space for the lower industrial ships. Why am I going to use a hoarder, with level 5 minmatar industrial? I should be using a mammoth. And in the situation where, that's all I can get, am I really going to put t2 rigs in it?
For completeness sake, I guess it's good to list them. But for anyone reading this, please don't put those expensive rigs in an inferior hauler :)

Thanks! Very useful to me (a fairly new miner).
I DO use T2 cargo expanders (10% more cargo hold each). Why not, while you train/earn to get a bigger ship? They pay for themselves fairly quickly, and then you have them for some other ship in the future.
At least, having the information on the spread sheet lets the player make choices as to what he wants to do.

I think he meant the T2 rigs mate, not T2 expanders which anyone who's been ingame more than a month will use...

Thanks to Lisandraia for pointing out the error with multiplying industrial lvl and everyone else.
Cheers.
I will be including Transport Ships in a few days along with other ships with mining bonuses.

I know, but the sheer amount of data needed either means scrolling endlessly down the page or accross, cant win either way.
I'll repost with smaller text and hopfuly this will make it less ugly.
Would look great printed out on A2 paper though ;)

Updated again HERE. Without having to redesign the page again this is the best I can do to minimize the pages width. Other than stack single Industrial levels ontop of eachother, makeing for and endless downward scroll this is the best I can get it.
Transport Ships comming soon.
Cheers.

Not a bad idea you could maybe put the two ships from each race next to each other going downwards, would be good for comparisons between same race ships with the same fitting. Obviosally this poses a prob for the gal ships not to sure about how to do that, maybe just do itteron 2 - 5 in two rows.

yeah, but expanders and optimizers are different things, and there is a slight price difference too, about 300m+ _________________ - "Welcome to EVE, remember to insu *BAAOOM*... Told you, newb."

There are some faults in your calculations. Offhand I can tell you that Iteron mk 3 with 3 COII's does NOT have a larger cargohold than Iteron mk 4 with 3 COII's... :)
Thanks for your effort though!

Thanks for that, spotted the mistake and will fix it this afternoon. It would appear that the Total m3 has been added to the GSC and then again for 'With GSC Bonus'. The mistake is in both ECI and ECII collums and for both Industrial lvl 4 and 5.
Thanks.
