A skill that allows you to hire NPC crews for your battleship. This would improve tracking & damage as the skill increases. The crew is charged at a daily rate & become more expensive as you advance the skill. If they are not paid they walk away at the first opportunity i.e. you dock somewhere.
The skill could be expanded in a whole raft of skills- hire a drone crew to tweak your drones for more firepower or durability or a missile crew which gives you faster loading & changes to the explosive yield.
What do you think-let me know.

Please, enlighten me on this matter. I fail to see where in this idea we would be having "ISK wars".
To the OP, dunno. It might be nice to be able to tweak some aspects of your ships attributes but I think it might be rather hard to balance (or rather, not to make it overpowered to those with billions in their wallet(s)). Sounds intresting thou...

Your ship is already crewed by NPCs. Hundreds of NPCs. It's the passengers statistic for your ship.
I've got 450 NPCs on my Arbitrator. When my ship gets blown up, they die. Pod pilots are effectively immortal, our passengers don't have that advantage. --

My ship is crewed by jelly babies and gummy bears.
its possible why i dont do very well at times......

There were a lot of ideas about "customizable crews". They aren't taken into consideration ATM. Still, they would give Charisma attribute a whole new field to play with IMHO!

Hiring/firing crew is something I do miss from Elite II - Frontier.
