Edited by: Admiral Killswitch on 19/03/2009 12:26:06 Edited by: Admiral Killswitch on 19/03/2009 12:24:36 Hey,
I just recently got out of the military and am currently staying in europe for the time being. Most of the people in my unit got transferred back to the states.
Im basically just wondering if there are any other Americans who live in europe who play this game. Could be other still/formerly active military people in Germany/Italy or Spain. Let me know.
This may or may not be the right forum for this but its general discussion under the "Eve Communications Center" and its not a gathering so...

Just out of curiosity, a question for both of you.
What do each of you think of the others countries?

I'm a Londoner living in the US and I went into a bakery not too long ago and was asked if I was English or Australian (I get that a lot) - when i said i was English, the woman in the bakery looked at me and, with complete seriousness, said: "what language do you speak over there?"
I thought she was joking and as a joke back, i said, "we speak Australian" and she looked at me, all confused like, and then said:
"awww, that's really sad - you don't have your own language?"
100% true story.
worst part? this is NOT the most stupid thing I've been asked in the last 7.5 years...

I do believe you, but seriously, the people that you have spoken to are idiots. There are lots of videos on the internet that show basic questions about the world outside the US being asked and then answered by idiots who have a myriad of incompetent answers to supply; most of them with southern accents.
Every country has its idiots; I just think that some of the idiots in these videos were encouraged to make "blonde type" replies, like in the movies where the blonde actress acts stupid, or have never moved and do not know anything about the area outside of their state, much less the world.
