It's selling terribly if at all. Both CCP and Atari are horrible at advertising. They probably would have done better if they tried to hide the fact that a boxed copy was being released.

Bought it off bol.com, and they delayed ship date to 27-03, so over here atleast, I doubt it's selling good so far...

I've bought two copies from a british online-shop. It's out of stock there since then.
In Germany's amazon it is listed as number 86 of all sold computergames and number 7 of all sold online games. At US amazon it is listed as # 1,435 of all video games, and # 17 of all online games sold there.
So I'd say, it does not sell really good.
Greetings,
Alli

53850 was reached last Sunday, which was a record for Eve (Linkage). There's always a spike after patches though so whether it was as a result of the box release is debatable. However, I don't think I've seen a spike like this one before--we were at 44000 a few weeks ago.
Tomorrow will be a further indicator, perhaps better than last week because by now the box should well and truly be out there.

You forget, EVE is no WoW. It doesn't have 11 million players. It may not make it to number 1 or anything, but that number 17 position in online games can still be bringing it a couple of hundred thousand new players.

what happens if it ends up being amazingly successful and doubles the current sub's? just how many consecutive players can the servers hold?
what would it take to get brand spanking new servers?

Local Best Buy started with 10 in store, sold out within 3 days. They got 10 more and had sold four by the end of the day.
Selling pretty good here..

Very poor sales. I expect a lot more new people, and well there has been hardly any change at all.

Seems to have reached No.8 in the ELSPA charts. You can pick up the sales figures for a princely sum of (only ) ú3,000. ______________________________________ Backup & Restore settings for Eve |

CCP are pretty good to be honest. I find there ads alot on websites etc. Tho for TV yer it's crap but they can't have to many people running to the stores for EVE!

My local Best Buy must be a bit backwards, misinformed, or having a cruel trick played upon them. I went to buy a copy as a "collector's item" and could not find any under the gaming section. Eventually I found a few copies under the children education section of computer programs. The image of a Hurricane and Rifter screaming off the cover right next to programs for learning the alphabet and counting beyond ten.

They probably confused EVE with a program that teaches you basic math... ...oh, wait _ Create a character || Fit a ship || Get some ISK |
