OK we get it, you don't care but you do realise that this is a complete break from CCP's policy that has been done in a way to get around the negative impacts that would come from following the standard procedure of changing an Alliance's name. See I don't care that they've changed their name but the manner in which it has happened is very questionable.

I agree, they should have instead ruled that kicking out all the corps from an alliance when only the executor is meant to be able to close the alliance was an exploit and rolled back the BoB sov loss.
I personally think CCP have been very fair in all of this, and have tried to please both sides (with the inevitable annoying both). However I would still like the xAlgey thing :D

Not sure how I failed to notice that at character creation, boy is my face red.

Meta gaming is explicitly allowed and even encouraged on the other hand the policies are clear about name changes. It's not even the same type of comparison, you tool.

the Name Changing Policy... it affects us all
I demand to know why such a critical policy change was not communicated via a press release with FULL EXPLINATION of this outrage
this is VERY IMPORTANT and I for one shall not sleep until this travesty is rectified

Your standard CCP badly worded policy, but it's obvious that this is against policy since the article is regarding alliances and they cannot share the same name as a corporation. Especially when it has been tried before and denied over and over.

It isn't obvious, as it specifically doesn't answer the question in regards to alliances. Also one would assume that the way to disband an alliance (via the executor) was obvious, but maybe no so.
However I am left with the thought that if this upsets goons so much it must be a good thing

Read the first line again and favoritism is everyone's business. Trust me, the new name itself is even more laughable then the last one so we "win" either way. :D (oh yeah and the whole Delve thing)

Its not about the name change - KenZoku had a way to change their name, but doing so would have had implications within the game that they have sought to avoid through GM intervention in a manner that is not available to any other player, corp or Alliance. But hey why stop with a name change right?
