o/
So i've pvp'ed my entire 2yrs with my main and decided to get into industry/science/invention with my alt who has about 10m sp atm. Im working towards a Hulk and thought about setting up a small pos - what do I need to set a small one up? I know I need standing and isk but beyond that I haven't a clue. Also, for ship creation I've heard I need research agents to get data cores? I'm lost as can be!
thanks!

I have also spent 2.5 yrs pvping and it's time to try some industry stuff.
First thing to do is some market research to determine what is profitable. Then determine what skills will be needed and start the training queue.
While your alt is skilling up you'll need to grind faction standings and isk for pos gear and a months fuel.
Speed running lvl 3's seems to be the easiest way to do this since the patch, as the balance of courier missions and combat missions for courier agents has changed.
You'll also need to look at location and the markets that you want to serve.

I would forget about POS, its too complicated and costs a lot to mantain.
its more for entire corps rather than personal.

I couldnt agree with this more, just like how every new player wants to rush to fly their first battleship, keep in mind there are new industrial characters being started every day and they all follow the same routes. They train the same skills, they read the same guides, they join the same ques. Ship production wonÆt make you much, and many other t1 modules are only profitable in huge bulk. WeÆve got a few new industrial players in my corp and I die a little more inside every time I hear them complaining about how theyÆre not making a billion percent profit after two months in game never leaving highsec.
Trying to build just for your own usage is often far more expensive than just buying whatever in highsec.
If you've been an active pvp'er for a long time, especially out in null or the deadlier parts of lowsec, try to use those contacts with people/corps you flew with to decide what to make and supply it to them. If that's not viable, then just keep looking for those nitch markets.
Having your own POS would certainly rock, but IMO its simply not feasible to do as a solo character unless you were going to spend all your time feeding the tower, dealing with people who want your moon, etc.
