Simply put, I'm on the look out for a PHP script I can ad to my Corps website members area, where I as CEO and directors migth view members current skills and skills in training to better aid,"read form, shape, brainwash" new recruits un experienced with the game to become better pilots more easily.
now I'm not a PHP fantom my self or I would make one, so I'm kinda hoping sombody else migth have scripted together somthing I migth use. Somthing simmilar to Ineve.net would be nice :)

What functionality do you exactly require (just list of skills or something more?), what kind of site you're using (some CMS, custom framework), what system does it run on (php5/MySQL?) and how much ISK you offer?

Somthing like the fuctionality of a simple test page, where the only thing needed is the Skills overview, for each of my members who has regisertd at my site. and of course I need it tied up to a registration/loginsystem. and list my members. so some kind of database functionality would possibly be needed I'm using a Joomla based webhost running apache 2.2.11, PHP 5.2.5 (most addons are intalled or installable), MySQL 5.0.67, and of course I have support for Perl and Ruby on rails also.
I'm also a beliver the ISK should only be used to purchase items inside the game, and I'll never pay Viritual money for a script like this. I also belive It should be available for the EVE community to be used :) so some open-source licensing would be a major pluss.

ROFL, this really made my day. Don't you think it's up to programmer if he decides to release HIS work to public or not? Also, since you oppose paying ISK for services like this (though CCP does not regard it as violation of EULA), would you prefer paying RL money for it?
Btw, I'm working on component to joomla to display character sheets. But considering my game wallet balance haven't moved up for for a while, I think I'll go do some missions instead coding.

- Of course a programmer is free to chose what ever publishing, pricing, licencing system he wants. - If I find software usefull, worth paying for I by it or donat money to support it, and yes I use Real Life money!

- ever considerd askin other programmer to aid you in your efforts? but of course do what you wanted.
PS: What have YOU provided to community?
I just made your day :)Besides that I pay taxes, go to work, am friendly to my fellow citizens, and most importent of all I help out ppl asking me for help as far as I can!

Edited by: Absinyth on 30/04/2009 07:23:36 I'm interested in obtaining a way to look up characters and maybe skills using nothing but the limited api key. It can be web based or standalone. While I'm not promising a price right now I am willing to pay in ISK, sorry but not r/l monies. If anyone can make me thier best offer then I will consider it.
Keep in mind I understand you want to be paid for your work and I'm totally willing to do that but also don't need highly sophesticated controls or visual effects. Just something that is secure (no data reporting to a third-party) and lists characters and skills that is easy to read.
If you have any questions please post a reply or evemail me in game. I will check back here for updates.

Hey, I am actually in the process of making something like this. For my own personal needs, if you would be willing to pay some ISK for it I could extend the license for you. I will make it to your specifications as well. If it is good enough, I am also thinking of releasing it to the public. Message me in-game for more info and contact.

I am willing to do yours as well, a donation would be great, but I don't expect and especially until I am finished. I do this a lot just for fun. Normally for my own things though, so I just want to make sure I wouldn't be wasting my time to help you. "Mess with the best and die like the rest!" ~HighCommander540(Me) |

Try Yapeal.
You'll need everyone's Limited API key, but it will do what you require.

Moraph, yours is different from these people. I will have yours done soon. It is coming great. Although, I would not be offended if you wanted to use this character sheet viewer. A few posts above this.

As someone involved in several Eve based GPL projects, comments like this make me wonder why I bother
I'll tell you what: If you'll never pay virtual money for peoples hard work (that's quite often GPL'ed), we'll not bother spending our time making the content.
Sounds like a fair deal huh? Nothing for nothing?
Thankfully I seem to get donations quite regularly from players. Sometimes less than a million - but it's the thought that counts (and not everyone has huge ISK). The above poster really is spot on about ISK vs Coding time. Quite often I will not play Eve to work on Eve programming projects - It's nice when people send a few ISK to help cover this 'lost' time when creating content that is ultimately given away.

I'm eagerly waiting to see what Lofful comes up with but in the meantime I found that EveMon works great for viewing character's using the limited api key. Here's the link for EveMon in case anyone is interested: http://evemon.battleclinic.com/
I'll check back here for updates. Cheers
