I am thinking of purchasing a Kronos for missions and i am wondering what is the best way to fit it?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!.

Standard fit would be:
4x 425mm Rails 3x Whatever (tractors, salvagers, drone link)
1x 100mn Afterburuner 1x Heavy Cap Injector 1x Web 1x Tracking Comp (or sensor booster)
1x Faction Rep 3x Hardeners 3x Magnetic Field Stabs
2x Aux Nano pumps (Sometimes 1x tech II ROF rig)
Mix of Sentury and light drones
Obviously it would be rude not to put on a few more faction mods. Mag stabs are good, then the tracking comp, I use navy rails instead of tech II for lower cap consumption

I think 4x racial and eanm is huge overkill. I run 2x racial, 1x eanm and I don't even come close to having my tank broken.

In your honest opinion is the jump from a mission running dominix worth the cost for a Kronos??

Domi was too slow to my tastes. ---

No opinions? I'm shocked!!
If you're just going to put a massive tank on in then no, you end up with an unbreakable tank and average dps, just like the Domi.
If you thin the tank and get some good dps then you'll get through missions much much faster and it may be worth it. I get over 900dps with an optimal slightly under 40km. It's like a wall of death, most missions wont even drop my shields because nothing gets close enough.
Hint: Massive cargo hold means you can free up lots of slots by fitting a cap injector instead of rechargers and power relays. This works well with a high damage setup because you will barely ever have to run the repper and therefore barely ever have to cap inject.
If you run missions every day you may make back the cost of the ship in reasonable time. If not, it's probably not worth it.

I find it more fun that just waiting for the drones to finish the mission. It also runs them a bit faster - if that is worth it is your own choice. The best thing IMO is the 40km tractor. This alone makes salvaging much faster as you don't have to dock and get a new ship to salvage, or lose dps if you salvage on thge go in a Domi.
My "generic" fit is almost pure T2 (from the top of my head):
4 x 425T2 rails (AM and Spike) 1 x Tractor 2 x Salvager
3 x Cap Recharger 1 x 14km Web
1 x LR2 2 x T2 hardeners 1 x EAMN2 (forgot to pack an Amarr one) 1 x 1600mm RT plate 1 x Damage Control 1 x CPR2
2 x Berserker 2 5 x Hammerhead 2 5 x Hobgoblin 2
I often switch out the CPR2, DC or plate for Mag Stabs, and sometimes a CR2 for an AB if the mission requires travelling. But the above is the basic fit for missions I don't know. The web helps the rails with tracking cruisers, I've pondered a tracking computer too due to the better range but so far prefer the web. Drones vary a lot too depending on mission.

If you want to loot and salvage, without a doubt yes.
Otherwise a Dominix with sentry drones and rails will kill your average stuff just as fast as a Kronos. Which one is better depends on the mission / situation. A gank dominix is much harder to fit though.
