Check battleclinic. Don't trust most of the posts you see here. People will try and give you setups that will get you killed.

Edited by: Morel Nova on 08/04/2009 13:04:32 Edited by: Morel Nova on 08/04/2009 13:03:25 I find this works really well. If you want a full t1 fit drop use a damage control instead of that Gyrostabilizer and replace all with t1 equivalents.
[Rifter, poonage] 200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Gyrostabilizer II Small Armor Repairer II
1MN Afterburner II X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator Warp Scrambler II
150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet EMP S 150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet EMP S 150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet EMP S OE-5200 Rocket Launcher, Caldari Navy Foxfire Rocket

p.s battleclinic is full of bears who love passive drakes, exerciser common sense when using fits from there.

This is close to a standard set up I use, but I normally fit the DCU rather than the Gyro with T2 guns. I also have a few other variations but I don't post them, being I never see others using them. (the Rifter is cool like that as it has lots of options for playing with your set ups, epically if you work in a small gang)
to the OP..
TBH.. you are better off to fit the T2 Gun and tank equipment (with exception of Tungsten plate) as it could mean the difference of living or building a new Rifter. If you can't afford to lose 5 mil on a ship then you should likely work on your income before trying to PvP. (JMHO)

Whatever you do: unless you know what you're doing, don't go with 200m ACs. At point blank 500m orbit, they'll have tracking problems on other frigs.
don't use the 400m plate + power core setup, a repper will rep more than the difference b/e a 200m and a 400m before the fight is over.
