Proud to have been FDN.
Cheers to LM, Valdor, G0RG0N, and the rest; I cut my PvP teeth with you guys fighting for the cause.
Sad to see it end like this, but I can't fault anyone for it. From my point of view, it was a lose-lose situation. Also, better to disband the name on top and have a new name for the reformed alliance.

My ass is still sore from the whoopin' you gave us that day in I think it was early January... you lost what 1 zealot and maybe a cruiser or two, and killed 3 carriers and dunno how many bs? :(
Sure as hell put us in our place. Sad to see you disbanding like that. Drama is the worst way to go. =/ See you on the battlefield somewhere o/

Your NRDS never was perfect, I remember getting shot at in low-sec and being told I was a pirate.. so that day I decided eh, why not be a pirate? :D
Lead me to many great things in game. Had many good fights with FDN over the years too. o/

Not much more I can add to the thread, but my personal feelings are that:
- I'm proud to have been part of the alliance;
- I met people who I consider friends (and even though our ways have parted, I hope you still feel the same);
- I'm now part of EVE History. :)
Thank you all, red and blue, for making my stay in Great Wildlands truly Great.

Actually that is something that i would like to add.
At some point over the last 3 years, many of the major conflics in eve has some how passed through GW, and alot of the smaller ones had a focus on the area. (No idea why)
But because of that, as well as making a name for ourselves, the great friends and enemies made, great characters and individuals and constantly having a no holds barred style of fighting. Really does make a player feel like they are part of eve history.
The down side of it is that in 3 years of playing the game (going to GW a month after starting the game), I havent hardly seen anything outside of GW. -------------------------------

I have had great times in Foundation, and I don't suppose it gets much better than that day in Y7. So I will thank Lord M and PA and Redvox and all our departing friends for the craic and the glory moments. Good fortune, and a safe harbour.
It is sad you felt you had to do it this way, but I guess there is no good way to do it.
We had an alliance which did not exist only for its own advantage, but had a cause to promote throughout the region. It's all very well saying that any other alliance would have set a pilot KOS or done this or that, but we weren't any other alliance. I'm no big PvP hero but when I read how the elite breakaway group has all the best FCs and the top fighters and the best part of the cap fleet etc, I am not sure how that squares with congratulating ourselves for welcoming smaller corps and a wide range of talents. I thought we measured our worth by more than just the numbers.
Whatever. As long there are half a dozen pilots willing to fly up to Khabi or Egbinger and take out some punk gate camp with its bubble and its litter of noob frigate wrecks and hauler kills, not because it's their territory, not because they claim sov, but because it's what they do, then I can promise you, however big your cap fleet battles, the old FDN will live on in GW. You can disband your alliance, but you can't disband who we are.

I will remember my time in FDN as one of the best I've had in EVE. Whether it was Valdor's battleship fleets, Morium's triage carrier madness, corp roaming ops or just having a nice chat on TS (o/ time ). It's just sad that it had to end with drama, and that some people are letting internet spaceship game "politics" ruin personal relationships.
Anyway,

we'll be coming to your place to spank you soon, I promise and please send my greetings to DOERTE DEEDZ should he ever come online. He taught me how to survive in 0.0!
Fly safe, everyone! And that includes the guys that are now my "enemies" -- bollox! -- try to remember the good times we had for the last year(s) and not the silly drama it ended with. o/

We attacked with 13bs and a light dictor, dropped 3 dreads and 3 triage carriers, vs your 8 carriers and 45 support. Killed 3 of your carriers, 5 got away, about a third to half your support, and only lost the light dictor.
Fight was in KLMT system, id link you KB but the old FDN site went poof. Plus, with only one kill most of BLACK didnt show up on the killboard link anyways :/
If it makes you feel better we were amazed too. I was primaried at one point and i can say i have NEVER taken that kind of damage and survived - it took all three triage carriers to keep me up under your fire. plus, damned near everyone underestimated FDN when they first started messing with us.
o7 to LM for choosing to fight that day outnumbered in caps and 3-1 in support. I was suprised he made the call but he did ask the fleet first, and everyone was for the attack. Plus, we were all resist/plated fits for the RR; where your fleet was a mix of stuff.
That fight was one of the many highlights of my time in fdn.
