Hi guys, i had over a year brake from EVE and now i'm back. I read, patchnotes and so on and there was quite a lot of changes. My question is - are intreceptors any good nowadays, past QR? If they are then can you help me choose one for some solo (max 2 ppl) pvp? I was playing caldari and im used to missile stuff, so my first choice was Crow but... Choosing an inty is a matter of playstyle only (missiles or enegry weapons and so on), or there is another factor (maybe one of them is absolutely the best one etc)? Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it. |

Crow is still good, but taranis really is the best :D

That's a matter of opinion. If you want to fly at point blank range I'd agree, Taranis can put out terrifyingly high dps, but the Crow has the advantage of tracking free weapons that can reach a lot further.
All comes down to how you want to fly an inty really. But yes, interceptors are still good to fly.
Oh and the other thing to consider is tackle ability, so if your concern is just holding down a target for a gang, well as an example a friend flies a stiletto and with 4 mids + disrupt range bonus that thing is amazing for it. ___________________

Inti's are still great ships, especially for flying around solo. The difference between QR and now is that they are no longer untouchably fast (Warrior II's will almost always catch you), you are no longer totally screwed when you get webbed (only 50-60% instead of 80-90% slowdown) and that you are totally screwed if you get scrammed and are MWD fit (scrams instantly turn off microwarpdrives).
If you're looking to run around and solo, the Taranis, Crow and Crusader are all great ships. If you're looking to tackle, the Stiletto and Ares are both great at it.
I have been flying the Taranis since my first few months playing this game and a year later it is still my favorite ship to hop in and fly solo. ----- The Python Cartel Is Recruiting! - My Pirate Blog |

I love my ceptors now more than ever, even though they got nerfed somewhat... Many AFs pose a serious threat to ceptors but the ceptor should nearly always be able to pick its fights.
Atm I'm torn apart between the Ranis and my new toy, the Sader... They are both awesome but with different applications and flying styles needed. After QR the Blaranis has the handicap that it cannot do the job of a secondary tackler at all due to having to fit a short point (which sucks terribly), also limiting its solo target selection to mostly those that want to fight it despite its "OP" fame... Though it can proprely tackle a target from reapproaching/ redocking with its scram and web, OTOH the Scorch Pulse Sader is pretty good at getting tackles even without sebos, and is great in multiceptor dogfights and harassing larger gangs. ---

Crusaders are nice. Cost effective too, up to a point where they pay themselves back (with intrests) via piracy. Crow do still work too, but they're no longer THE INTIES. _______
