Quietmouse
After years of beeing on the lookout for a speciall designed mouse that doesn't make clicking noises, I finally found a decent mouse. I have already ordered it and been using it for about a week now, and I like it alot. Clicking the buttons can be felt, but not heard.
If you have a spouse or whatnot that find mouse clicks annoying, I think this mouse will be a nice option imo.
They sell two types of mice, but I have only tried the newer wireless one.
The mouse has the left and right mouse button, with a scrolling wheel that can be used as a third mouse button.
The two main buttons seem to be best sound dampened, with the wheel sometimes giving off a slightly audible sound with clicking or scrolling fast, but just slightly. Time will tell if something breaks down or deteriorate. The manuals states that the internal temperature of the mouse should be between 55F (12 C) and 90 F (32 C).
Only thing that felt abit off what the pressure needed to click the buttons. I cannot really make up my mind about this, because the difference feels marginal.
Shipment was 5.40 USD from USA to Norway and it came in a little box in my mailbox. Two AAA batteries was included. The mouse driver installed automatically with Vista 64 service pack1 when I inserted the wireless USB receiver for the mouse.

This seems like a fine product, but shouldn't this be in Out Of Pod Experience?

I need to dig it up, from... somewhere, but Apple's multi-button (don't start) mouse is ( I thought) pretty silent, so this might be far from a novelty. Though I can be completely wrong, I hated the 5 MM scroll button, so I tosed it into... somewhere.
Then again really. Someone gets annoyed by the clicking sound of a mouse! Maybe put more stuff in the room you're in so it absorbs sound better. Even better turn on some music in the background.

I just want to point out that the mouse I made this post for is in fact so quiet, you really cannot hear the clicking of the mouse buttons.
There has afaik been two other mouse models designed for sound dampening, but they either didn't offer dampening on all buttons, or allegedly didn't install on Vista.
I use a Seelseries mousepad (the one you rollout without a plate), it's the size of a small table :)

I actually want to hear the clicking. My hands shake and spasm, so hearing the clicking lets me know if I accidentally click when I shouldn't be.
And myself, I use a Razer DeathAdder. - - - Aloriana Jacques - Skill Sheet

I still on the Diamondback 3G
I tried a few of the newer ones, namely the Habu (which I could never get used to) and Lachesis but they just didn't feel right. Diamondback i've used for 3 years now and still love it to bits...

I can't even use other mice now because of the MX Revolution. If I do, I just feel dirty. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

Roccat Kone here, now thats a comfy mouse.
Looks hella dapper as well - downside is that yes, she clicks.
(The whole mouse is rubberised though, what more do you need? Except maybe the fully customisable LEDs too. Pimp over Function.)

I'm actually just about to order one of these. ú115 is a LOT for a mouse so I'm hoping for good things. Been using an MX700 for past 2 years but of late LMB is going...double-clicks randomly and doesn't stay clicked when I hold it. Editting this post with it took ages and actualy convinced me to get the new one ordered.
THe idea of a super quiet mouse has occured to me in the past and it's a very good price. But I like having the extra mouse buttons personally, in games and out. Am thinking of adding a WD Velociraptor, some more RAM and an OS upgrade to the shopping list. Hearing good things about using Server 2008 as a workstation -------------

Id feel hella guilty spending 115 pounds on a mouse, you can get a lachesis for about ú50 or a deathadder. ú115 is far too much. However please let us know what its like when it arrives.

I can say that spending shedloads on a MX revo is worth it, but I would advise you to grab a "testing" mouse or if you know someone that has one, to lend it to you for a couple of hours first. ---
