Come on CCP... this is getting to be pathetic. On a character with all 3 relevant skills at L4 -> 12 invention job runs yield 4 ( count all of them up on one hand: *4* ) BPC's. This is crap and y'all know it...
And while this isn't 'real money' ( well... y'all there at CCP do sell ISK for real money, so it 'could' be... ) getting tossed down the invention black hole, it does get just a tad bit frustrating. Here's an idea: since you don't seem willing to actually 'fix' invention - why don't you just take it out of the game and be done with it. And then all of us paying customers who've spend all this time training for invention can either find a new 'career' for our characters or just cancel the account and save ourselves $15 USD.

Ahh, the weekly 'Inventions broken' thread, how i miss them so......
Invention is working as intended, if you want to increase success on mods throw in a Meta 2 Module which will give you a +10% chance. As you dont mention what you're trying to invent its difficult to say if theres actually problem.
But, 25% isnt that bad, with level 4 skills, I've had success rates as low as 10% at times, but then the next batch as high as 80%, it just evens out over time.
Invention is not for the feint hearted (or the light of wallet), especially ship invention.

As the above poster said, the results of each batch will vary, so it is foolish to judge invention as a whole on only 12 runs.
Personally I have done over 400 invention jobs since the last patch and have maintained an average of 48% success rate.
EDIT: success rate refers to module invention

It's working fine, 4/12 is fine. If you didn't know this was going to happen you should have done some reading before spending 'all this time training'. Next you'll be complaining that rats shoot back.
CCP don't SELL ISK, they sell game time. Other players sell you their isk (that they probably made inventing).
Having made billions upon billions of isk from inventing, all I can say is, please continue with this belief and stop inventing to leave more profits for the rest of us.
Invention will see you fail more than you succeed, it's the value of those successes that make it worth doing, if you can't see that and still get frustrated by the failures, choose something else, those failures are by design.

4/12 is not bad depending on what your inventing. TotensBurntCorpse Likes EVE, Starfleet Command Series, Earth & Beyond, Anything Battlefield, MOHAA, Call of Duty.

I see the whine, but not the point. Invention is certainly not a broken mechanic, although with your pityful sample, 4/12 just isnt enough to do anythign with.
try 10k tries, then maybe you could surmise whats happening.
However, your suggestion to remove the mechanic itself, just to encourage you to find another profession? That sounds just plain ******ed. If you want to do something else, then do something else. Too many inventors here anyways, we could do with losing another one. Just because your income is not guaranteed,and you don't get 5bil a week for doing nothing, you assume its broken.
I dont think its been said yet, but can I have your stuff when you leave?

Speaking as an inventor, it's works as it is intended.
Before making farcical posts along the lines of "it's broken and my sample is 12 attempts", I'd urge you to read the Guides and come back with a detailed analysis of, say, one thousand invention attmepts. Please be sure to detail what was invented, your skills at the time and any decryptors used.
Obviously changing skills/decryptors etc directly affects the results, so make sure you sample an equal number in each change.

If invention was changed to 100% success rate, you would not make any more profit than you fo now, as prices would fall. Invention rate is the same for everyone who has trained the skills
