Hello, I'm a 37 year old player located on the east coast of the US looking to join my first player run corporation after many years playing Eve completely solo. I started playing Eve at launch, with this character, stopped subscribing after few month but joined back up a few years back. Since then I've played off and on maintaining my subscription. Most of my EVE life has been spent in high sec space as a mission runner (Lv4's).
My motivation for wanting to join a corporation is to experience more of what EVE has to offer. I lurk on the forums quite a bit, and it seems to be a near universal opinion that you haven't really experienced EVE until you join a player run corporation. I've avoided that because my real life does not allow me to consistently play EVE and I worry that I won't be able to provide the kind of commitment joining a corporation might require, and it is still the case that I cannot promise consistent playing of EVE. What has changed to motivate me to seek a corp now is the new expansion, which I find very interesting (specifically the new probing system and wormhole space). So I'm hoping to find a somewhat casual corporation that accepts that my real life takes precedence over EVE.
About me
- I play mostly on weekday evenings (typically in the range of 22GMT - 02GMT), and occasionally on weekends.
- I'm in the US east coast time zone.
- I'm a 37 year old working professional
- I'm willing to use a headset and teamspeak/ventrillo.
- This is my main character, he has never left Imperial Academy
- I'm experienced at running Lvl4 missions and can make my own money this way if need be.
- I have a lot to learn about eve. I am very inexperienced at anything outside of highsec. In a very real sense my characters experience (i.e., skill points) exceeds my own as a player.
- Aside from being blown up a few times I've never PvP'd. I'd like to learn how to, and I fully expect that learning will likely involve getting killed occasionally.
- I'm looking to be a team player, but not a leader. I have no interest in 'moving up the corporate ladder' as it were. I want to be the kind of player that someone else organizing an operation wants to have a long
- I fly Amarr ships
- My character is currently located in the Domain region.
- I don't know enough about living in low or null sec space to know if I want to move there
I am interested in
- Probing. I have good skills for doing this, and have been practicing with the new mechanics.
- Exploring wormhole space
- PvP, which I'd like to do in inexpensive replaceable ships.
- Manufacturing/Trading
- Mission running
I'm not interested in
- Activities that will bring down my security status.
- activities that will bring down my standing with the Amarr empire.
- Griefing other players.
- Flying capital ships
I'm looking for the following kind of corporation
- I want to join a well established corporation, not a startup.
- I'd prefer a larger corporation (100+ players) to a smaller one.
- I'm looking for a corporation with strong leadership.
- I'm looking for a mature corp. I have nothing against younger players, but I have something again obnoxious players.
- I'd like to join a corporation that allows me to take part in many different kinds of activities.
My skills are roughly
- Corporate Management - 5K
- Drones - 2.25Mil
- Electronics - 2.75Mil
- Engineering - 2.5Mil
- Gunnery - 10Mil
- Industry - 1.5Mil
- Leadership - 500K
- Learning - 2Mil
- Mechanic - 1.5Mil
- Missile Launcher Operation - 90K
- Navigation - 2.5Mil
- Science - 4Mil
- Social - 800K
- Spaceship Command - 10Mil
- Subsystems - 0
- Trade - 250K
Glad this all fit in 4000 charact

Gabriel Blade,
Salvation Army. is an empire based corporation full of older players between the ages 19-30. The CEO's idea when creating the corporation is to simply have fun. We are mainly a pvp corporation but do more then pvp. We've lately been running missions fixing security status standings and looking into doing more Epic Arc missions.
We use Ventrilo for voice communications and talk with one another. Were a US time-zone based corporation so were always online during the day and night as well as weekends. Were not a dictatorship so in this means we don't tell you what to do. If you want to join and do missions or what ever else it is you want to do, your fine to do so.
All of the members in Salvation Army. have lives outside of this world we call EVE. We have a few fathers within the corporation who have kids to take care of and such, some of us have college and so on. If you have things to take care of in real life that's perfectly fine, were not going to kick you from the corp because you haven't signed on in a week.
To answer some of your questions below I will remap them and answer them.
Q. I want to join a well established corporation, not a start up. A. Were not a start up corporation, We have been running for at least 2 months now and still going strong, just need more members.
Q. I'd prefer a larger corporation (100+ players) to a smaller one. A. Were still a small corporation of 13 members but all of us are active. Our peak max is about 8-10 of us online all at once. The rest are on though-out the day.
Q. I'm looking for a corporation with strong leadership. A. We've got 2 strong leaders within the corporation. The main CEO which is "Grandorr" and myself "Qing Jao"
Q. I'm looking for a mature corp. I have nothing against younger players, but I have something again obnoxious players. A. Salvation Army. is a corporation built upon mature players as we don't want those obnoxious players you speak of :). Were all within the ages of 19+ (Alot of us are in our 20's we have 2 players I think that are in there 30's.
Q. I'd like to join a corporation that allows me to take part in many different kinds of activities. A. Seeing is how we are only a 13 pilot corporation we can't do everything but the members are more then welcome to do as they please. Were mainly a pvp corporation but we do missions and other activities in the game.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As for activities that you are NOT interested in.
Q. Activities that will bring down my security status. A. All of our members can do as they please, tho were mainly an anti-pirate corporation we don't usually go flashy unless its needed.
Q. activities that will bring down my standing with the Amarr empire. A. We don't ask our members to do mission or anything that will harm there charters.
Q. Griefing other players. A. Griefing is agisnt the EVE-Online EULA and is forbidden in our corporation.
Q. Flying capital ships A. Some of the members can fly capital ships but are not REQUIRED to.
I hope I was able to ansrew most of your questions and if you have any more please feel free to ask. You can also reach me ingame via Private Message or EVE-Mail.
You can also check out our recruitment and other information here.
Gallente Butterfly Effect Corp. The Lorenz Alliance
Hi Gabriel,
Butterfly Effect Corp is currently recruiting members and sounds like it may be ideal for you.
We have high sec operations based in Amarr space right next door to Domain with plenty of people into the mission running/industry/research/mining side of the game but we also have a relatively new lowsec/0.0 operation where there are always opportunities for some fun pvp action and we have several players based pretty much exclusively down there. As such you'd have the option of remaining in empire, coming to check out lowsec/0.0 or doing both as and when you wanted.
We have a player base covering mainly Euro/US time zones and your typical 4 hours playing period will generally have a fair few people about. At just 30 I'm actually one of the younger members of our corp and almost everyone has a full time job and many have families too.
As to what you are and are not interested in; I too am interested in the probing side of the game, as are a few of our other members, and we're actively looking to exploit wormhole space and get into T3 production. I personally consider WH space to be an excellent addition to the game and great fun to mess around in, even if I have been ganked in there by a roaming Atomic Battle Penguins fleet ;) . We can offer fun, low expense pvp down in 0.0 space with some very experienced pvpers and FCs from other, local, blue alliances taking fleets out regularly. We have high sec labs with lots of capacity for research and various other POSs in other locations. We actively manufacture to sell on a 0.0 market as well as in high sec.
And as to what you're not interested in... we're NRDS in lowsec and don't engage in pirating (although a small number of our members do get a bit carried away in local lowsec at times, especially when out with other blues). You'll certainly not be required to drop your sec status and we mission for MoW so your Amarr standing shouldn't take any kind of hit, quite the opposite in fact! We're certainly not into randomly griefing other players, in fact we're actively against that. We also wouldn't have any requirement for you to skill to fly capital ships. I myself have no intention of doing so and I'd give anyone who tried to force one of our members down a skill route that they weren't interested in a clip around the ear.
As to what you're looking for from the corp; we're a reasonable size and part of an alliance. We've been around for a little while and are certainly not a start-up, although we're still young, hungry and ambitious. Our members are generally quite mature and we're very understanding about RL coming first. Our leadership is quite mad in a fun, if sometimes slightly worrying manner. And finally we are, as I've already stated, engaged in pretty much ever aspect of the game. In fact the only thing we don't do is faction wars.
If you're interested I linked our recruitment thread at the beginning of this post and you can find our public channel at Lorenz Rec. (with the full stop) in game. "Confusion to our enemies!" ~ Tad Williams |
Gabriel -
Please considerHadean Drive Yards. We've been a corp since Beta and we're still going strong. I was recently appointed as the Commanding Officer of the Logistics Division (most things not pew-pew) and I can state with conviction that this is the best bunch of capsuleers you'll find in EVE.
If you're looking for Hi-Sec or Null-Sec mining, we have regular operations that will keep you happy and I've also seen our Military Division playing hunt and kill down in Null-Sec (we have agreements with the locals) to keep the more aggressive members happy. And we even have guys that have started exploring the new Wormholes for fun and profit.
