I'd ask him to relate the '**** shotgun' story, but that's instaban material... actually... 90% of his stories probably fall into that category.
There is one easy way to hear them.
I'm looking forward to seeing who we'll pull in from this recruitment drive, and what the results will be. It's not an insignificant thing that we're doing open recruitment finally as we approach our 6th year of operation.
Many older corporations won't take applications from less experienced members seriously due to the amount of work and effort it often takes to get people up to speed. On the flipside, we like to view inexperienced players as people who don't have to unlearn a bunch of bad habits. We've taken many brand new players and gave them an environment in which to mature to their full potential.
We don't offer an easy ride, we don't offer infinite patience. If you join IT, you have to do two simple things. 1. Fit into the corp. 2. Learn to fly.
Opinions vary on what the above means. My opinion is more particular in detail than others. If you are an asshat, can't be a part of a team, or simply are unable to learn, you'll be shown the door. I don't make apologies for that, and applicants should be glad that we won't waste your time if it is felt that you've come to the wrong corp.
IT is just coming out of a slow period and is preparing a serious ramp up of activity. If you want to make your mark in this corp, the timing isn't going to get better than it is right now.
One other thing... when we pvp, we don't wait for positive odds in our favor. You will lose ships, you will also be exposed to an interesting flavor of tactics for a corp that enjoys stirring up hornet nests in 0.0 on a regular basis. Often outnumbered, normally outgunned, we come out on top more often that the odds say we should.
Do not apply to IT if you are looking for empire wars and camping stations. Pvp in those circumstances are too often like a ritualized dance following an indeterminate period of waiting for something to happen. If you want a fight, talk to us.

Logged in tonight to find several new faces in corp. It's a great thing to see people coming in, enthusiastic about the future. Getting the first few people is the challenge, after a while it begins to snowball as referals and their friends join up. Hitting that critical mass is a thing of beauty.
Corp has room for roughly 1300 people, so we're not in danger of running out of available slots.
