Originally by: Mister Gone What do you mean by "wormhole with cap effects"? I know the rep skill hasn't finished recently, that happened weeks ago..only recent one is cruisersV but I don't see how that'd effect a dominix or cap.
When you enter a Wormhole, sometimes it'll display a message say "local phenomia will have strange effect on your ship"
This basically will change some of the base attributes to your ship, such as, in your case, the capacitor capacity or recharge time, it will usually balance out with another attribute being increased, such as 10% extra armour or shield etc.
Hope this helped

Never had any problems with the EHP on the fitting screen myself. Only annoying thing is you have to undock and activate the active hardeners for them to show on the fitting screen. Would be nice if there was some kind of option to see it while still docked up. _________________________

I believe that the in-game EHP calculation is done aginst your weekest resist, so if you have a 10% exp armor resist and never modify it, that is the one used in the calculation. Eve doesn't take into account the incoming dmg type. |

Originally by: Atsuko Ratu Some people suggested that the patch changed a value. All eft will tell you is if they changed any base values of the ship, but won't show any formula changes. I was just saying that it was a dumb suggestion to ask EFT.
This makes it sounds like you don't use EFT much.
There's a word you should know, it's "inference."
If a ship's recharge rate and capacitor capacity in EFT matches that in EVE but the per second capacitor regeneration rate is off by a significant margin then one can infer there has been a change to the formula server-side.
You can use EFT to determine discrpepencies in the formulas between versions of EVE but only so long as the EFT formulas are mostly accurate. I can attest from personal experience tha the capacitor formula used by EFT is, or at least was , quite accurate, enough to believe it to be usable as a way to determine capacitor formula changes on Tranqulity.
Originally by: Atsuko Ratu If the same setup was working then is no longer working now, a value has changed. If the EFT value and the Eve values are still the same before the EFT update, a formula has changed. If the values are different, then youknow the issue. In either case, EFT will be useless in finding a new cap stable setup.
As I said, if EFT at one point matched Tranquility to a high degree of accuracy and there is more than a 5% deviation between what that version of EFT says a ship's performance should be and what the current post-Apocrypha Tranquility ship's actual performance given the same skills, implants, and modules is then one can infer that there was an under the table change (stealth nerf). In addition if the base ship values and skill modifiers are the same between EFT and EVE one can further infer that the change was to the formula in EVE itself.
Originally by: Atsuko Ratu I'm willing to bet he changed his setup without realizing it, though.
Could be skill-related too. If you're border-line on cap stability going from Repair Systems 4 to 5 with a dual LAR II setup could throw a monkey into the works. A 5% reduction in activation time on a pair of cap-piggy modules, especially if you don't stop to think about it, can bite you in the rear if you aren't careful. ____________________

Did the OP ever post his setup?
I'm wondering if he had something like a MWD or AB on there for some reason. On the fitting screen, the cap indicators assume you're running everyone module full throttle all the time.
When fitting modules that I only intend to have active some of the time, I offline them in the fitting screen to get a better read of what the cap will be under normal circumstances.
Gone, you mentioned you added another Cap Recharger II at one point, and were then cap stable....what module did you give up to fit that in?

I've been playing around with eft and it looks like I need to upgrade rigs to 3xCCC2's and swap out the cap booster for another recharger2 to hold it cap stable now whereas the booster used to be a last resort I've yet to use.
I'm definately on the same setup as always, same setup that eve fitting tool was showing as stable. The low sp issue means I don't really use guns much on it, just drone dmg and salvager/tractors in the high slots.
Cheers for all the help, it's only a 2day job training up for the new rigs so I can live with that..just a case of not being so lazy with the setup and switching it around more as needed.
Wormholes = sleepers, sleepers = nos/neuts. There is your problem.
Not just that, OP missed the memo:
WORMHOLES AFFECT SHIP STATS IE: YOUR CAPACITOR. NEBULAES CAN INCREASE YOUR SPEED OR REDUCE YOUR ARMOR OR YOUR SHIELD OR YOUR CAP OR OTHER THINGS. K question answered.

I noticed this with a mission Caracal I have.
Was fine before the patch but runs out of cap after 1m 20s now.
Will check it in EFT and see what it says.

And you missed the part where the OP said that the problem was showing up outside of a station with modules running, not in WH space. This is a post. It says stuff. |
