As a regular flier of CovOps ships, i actually agree with the OP. The only, ONLY advantage of a CovOps ship is the fact it can warp / fly cloaked. It can't tank, it can't do any decent damage. So to be kicked out of cloak automatically by anything instantly negates the point of the ship.
I would agree with normal cloaks working like this, but i think a CovOps cloak should only be decloaked when damage is taken - and therefore would have to be countered by smartbombs. |

Now, had the OP stated it this way and left it at that, probably would have gotten a few more people agreeing because Synex, I agree too. But to have some lame noob who's better than everyone else tell you that, I'll disagree just because.

I heard they're also good at probing.
And your ONLY is the biggest understatement ever. The amount of freedom and variety of applications this allows is immense.
yes its annoying to get uncloaked when you weren't expecting it but it happens.
It's not meant to be invulnerable mode gaming.

Originally by: Infinity Ziona I am fully aware of beacons. In my last post I mention them decloaking covert ops ships. THE ISSUE IS THE BEACON YOU MORONS.
You cannot redefine solo. On the kill-boards every one of my kills says SOLO. If I engage a ship and receive no help during the fight that is a SOLO kill. How I manage to get into position to start that fight is of no consequence.
I'm pretty sure the same thing happens if I bring my logistics cruiser and remote rep myself.
That, for the record, also would not be a "solo" kill. --------------- Faction-Militia:Player-Alliance::Newbie-corp:Player-corp |

wow this bear still crying?
i have had no problem with covert op ships mainly because when i have been using them i have been FOLLOWING people/gangs/fleets/targets and done a pretty good job.
it such a shame that you know they make you uncloak wouldnt want to make it to easy which even for you seem pretty damm hard to do with not only 3 ships helping you try to kill a single target but then you get killed by bears.......it not hidden fact that i have been killed quite a few times but least i have been killed with honor in battle.
and extra lol for being killed with a hulk lmao THAT was a priceless gem YOUR so better than me |

I find it hilarious that the OP spent 2 hours trying to scan down a freaking cormorant in a mission. Here's a tip: If you're able to fly tech II cloaky ships, you should be targeting people/corps who fly ships that are at least cruiser size or bigger =P
Seriously though, there are just some things that weren't meant to be in missions, do you also complain that you can't MWD in most of them? |

Im not interested in your vitriol, your bias towards a certain security status or your insults.
Apart from a few posters in this thread I am a more polite, balanced, less hate-filled person then you. Obviously I am better at posting and real life as well as EvE.
The hulk pod thing was a jump request, although they did blow up my thorax (with help from an orca and remote repping ships) which is how I got into the pod in the first place.
UCAM are and were scumbags which is probably why they posted that kill.
I notice not a single person from this thread has elected to take on my challange in Crime and Punishment. This doesn't surprise me as the majority of you probably have never solo hunted pvp. Ganking Buddhist Nun |

The guy took the basic precaution of moving away from the jip when wardecced, and you failed when you tripped over a beacon thats always going to be in the same place in every instance of that mission relative to the gate leading to it.
To me thats no different than someone running backwards in TF2, and getting caught on a scenery projection and then whinging about it.

Sitting on a gate waiting for a target is about as lazy as you can be - it requires keeping your eyelids open and nothing else. More effort my ass.
Then shut up about it and file a petition if you think you've been wronged by the game. As for sitting on a gate, you've done that plenty of times. You even sit in the middle of nowhere cloaked. That doesn't even require the operation of eyelids.
If this game hacks you off so much, just quit your whining, take your ball and go home. Play freecell or something.
Or you could keep losing ships to ONE of our guys and keep making him money on your dropped mods

Nah it is more that caod has less smacking and chestbeating than C&P, which tells quite a bit.
Edit: Read your topic in C&P. No one cares to join because people got better things to do than entering a 1-men corporation. But besides that everyone can easily do that as long as they dont get really unlucky. But it is ******edly easy besides that.
It is about wardeccing a 0.0 alliance. They dont give a crap about wardecs, since it is almost always done by a bunch of idiots wanting easy kills. So they just tell their members to use alts in high sec for the duration of the wardec. But every alliance has idiots who still go afk hauling through high sec from jita. So get in a pilgrim in perimeter, go afk cloak when you arent playing, kill 5 haulers and 5 pods, finished. ---------------------------------------------

What you are doing here just makes you look petulant and whiny. There are far more stylish ways to go about chest-beating over being a mediocre PvPer killing carebears for fun and profit. Believe me.
You don't have to write lame repetitive RP trash about it. But a certain amount of class and humility would be a good start.

Oh sorry, that would decloak you.
Killmail stats do not equal greatness. I don't know why you'd even bother posting such uninteresting kills.
Trying to back up your 'greatness' by saying how successful you are in real life just screams basement dwelling dorkatron to me, but that's just an opinion. I wouldn't dream of bringing real life into an internet spaceships game.

Completely negating any and all epeen waving/bashing;
That beacon is there for the exact reason the OP is complaining about it; otherwise it would be too easy to warp in recons etc without noticing it.
That is ofcourse the whole idea behind recons but the issue is that when in high-sec doing missions it's almost impossible to pick out the one WT that's in local from all the ships on your scanner (mission hubs are hubs for a reason).
Is it completely 'fair'? Perhaps not, it's actively helping one side while seriously hindering the other but it's a choice CCP made to help missionrunners. I'm not in favour of helping missionrunners at all and would like to see their income lowered to a point where it's not as easy/profitable as it is now, making them more vulnerable (scanning them out has already become easy) would be a step in the right direction.
I probably wouldn't make any screaming/whining posts on GD about it but make a suggetion post in the assembly hall, with proper and logical reasoning.
