Originally by: Fer DeLance Remote repping in High Sec is getting out of control. I am not sure if this is a side effect, a bug, or a valid mechanism, but it's getting too unbalanced lately, mainly because more and more and more people utilize this remote repping thing feature.
Suppose you get involved in a fight with someone... then out of nowhere, two, three or even more ships arrive (at the station, at the belt, anywhere doesn't matter actually), and start repairing him. They don't even have to be in the same corp!!! You can't even know they are there with the sole purpose to aid the other ship.
Of course, once they start repairing the opponent, they start flashing red... so, here you go... no problem... just take them down too.... sure. The only thing you will achive by attacking the remote repairers, is to double, tripple, or even multiply with a greater number the total damage you receive, and just go down a lot faster.
There are some people like me (may not be the majority but there are), who don't like huge 0.0 blobs (we 426, you 114, 426>114 we win), and enjoy solo pvp in high sec, much more. There is no logic to as to why should anyone, even more if in a different corp, or in an NPC corp, aid one or the other oppontent.
If this is working as is it supposed to work, i can't say much more, than that i think it ruins a big portion of the game for the solo pvp player. At least make it that only corp mates of non NPC corps can remote rep someone (when he is involved in a fight in high sec). That way, if i see 4 corp members in the local, and i choose to get involved in a fight, i recognize there is a risk involved. Otherways, just about anyone can jump in the party uninvited. This will soon be so common tactics, and it will be more difficult to address the problem by then.
I don't see the issue there either. I mean, if someone wants to be friendly and repair someone who is under attack, good! If you want to attack someone in public, make sure nobody is gonna help him defend himself... That's all.
I think it's just fair!
This is just a typical case of "Paper is fine, nerf Rock - Scissors"
